The problem you face, and I cba getting into a debate on this, what are you actually worth to SKY/whoever? Probably nothing really financially and imo you do well to get what you get. FWIW I reckon come the next deal Sky will appreciate that the Chp has developed a TV market and increase your amount depending on future viewing number increases.

I don't know about the Chp but it's not possible to cheat the cap in SL anymore, it's a live audited system, can't be cheated really unless chairmens little henchmen are backhanding brown envelopes illegally, not just breaking SL rules but breaking the law too. Why would they.

its actually worth quite a lot to sky.if the games were shown on terrestrial tv the viewing figures would be twice those for SL games shown on SKY so for that reason alone its worth more than a couple of bob a season to each club.

The fact that we are playing Championship RL instead of Championship 1 RL shows that the RFL doesn't have this huge downer on Leigh that some fans believe them to have.... IMHO.

with the exception of 5/6 team the whole of RL is built on dreams & not pound signs.

I know when we beat Salford in 2001 - live on terrestial - this was certainly the case.

Don't know, but had wondered about this afew weeks ago when a few of us were discussing whether the Beeb might be interested in 'buying into' RL when they complete their move up north, especially now they seem to have lost so many other big events/sports.
