Great that we have another signing..but all I am worried about now is staying up! I suppose the board cannot win...if they were not signing players we would be getting on their backs for not planning ahead!
I can only assume (and hope) that management already know that we will not be relegated (merge back to one division) as it seems crazy to me to have a top coach and 2 SL class players with a Champ 1 salary cap.
If the salary cap IS dropping for Championship next year, it might be because one division is being formed and the RFL wanted to keep the total salaries at a similar level to this year so they simply went for the average of the 2.
Despite being a Chartered Accountant I can't be bothered working out if the averages support the theory!

You don't play everyone home and away, it'd mean a return to the bizarre fixture systems of the NFP days. And it'd be a disaster IMO. |

And no bugger is going to turn up for the 80 point wins of old. Maybe it's a case of players being paid too much for playing part time, rather than fans not being charged enough? |

10 home fixtures with average 1500 as now would still be preferable to 16 games or so, with most under 1000, as if just one league, there would be no guarentees you'd play widnes , fax at home etc.... |
