What are the rules to this 9's competition, how long are the halves?

9 minutes each way, no kicking to touch from penalties, tap restart by defending team on halfway after a try, 5 minute sinbins, 5 in scrum, 4 outfield players, drop kicks at goal.

I must say a very enjoyable day, but the timing of it is chronic considering everyone has prospective promotion, play-off and relegation games ahead... For me this tournament should be held ahead of the Grand Finals Day for the National Leagues, although in truth it does need a venue with two pitches....

Whilst the Woodlands is pleasant enough, you can't get good views from a filming point of view and the press facilities are very basic. I spent most of the afternoon leaning on railings doing my updates. Mind you I suppose I have been blessed this season with the gantry at the LSV...

Indeed, should be played during pre season.

Pre-season is cowd tho, especially in Blackpoo.

So where exactly are you going to play a tournament needing 2 pitches involving 40 odd games in jan/feb ? , and would anybody go to watch given the possible bad weather

7 's in Union works because they play it in their off season , the summer

We now play in summer , making no room for this type of event

Unless you use your reserves , then fine , but the RFL requested 1 st team players

This event was originally planned to be held in Stanley park

we've been knocked out had a fone call sheff won 50 - 14 i fink he said. couldnt really hear him because of wind

As part of the RFL plans to expand the game, my vote goes for the comp to be played in Tenerefe in March.

It's a winner.
