well i for one fail to see what Mr Kelly is coaching these lads in training.

we have 1 move which is dummy half to 1st reciver drive in play the ball and thats it.

just watched the game again on TV and my thought are exactly the same.

I could coach a team to do that!!!!



We have a young inexperience side and losses are inevitable but the pay of YOU SHOULD get from this is inthusiasm. If they were throwing the ball about and making mistakes i could take that but 5 drives and a kick (if we dont just drive it in on the 6th how many time have we done that!!!) isnt acceptable.

Our Acadamy team play a miles better brand of RL than our first team.

If Mr Kelly lets these lads play then we might have a chance but at the moment we are heading 1 way Championship 1

We won't go down (sorry to spoil the thread), we will be in the playoffs from 5th or 6th.
Kelly has little money with a young squad, I expect results v Batley etc not v Fev who have spent a tidy sum to say the least.
We will only beat Fev / Barrow /Widnes / Toulouse etc if the club goes for broke (quite literally) and signs SL players (on SL contracts).

If people honestly thought we should beat Fev than you may be in for a season of dissapointment IMO - Leigh arn't the big "lower league" club they was and whilst many go for broke chasing a SL dream that will never happen Leigh are concentrating on working with the finances they have.
I'd agree with the argument that Leigh massively underperform off field year in year out that causes the financial 'shortfalls' - definatly a huge missed opportunity and something this current 'board' seem incapable or unwilling to rectify.

Kelly is best left in the job right now IMO, even Millward would struggle playing full time clubs (or largely full time v part time players) week in week out

I am told by a fellow die hard that the team when training do practice moves and pass the ball properly and the handling is surprisingly very good.

It,s not happening often in matches at the moment but we,ve still won 3.

Good to see Aaron Smith back and with a stand off and Higson to come back I am still hopefull that we will improve.

We're playing terrible rugby at the minute, bar the odd flash of passing rugby (and we showed last night that we can do it at times), but I genuinely think that we've got the best that we can afford to pay for, both in terms of the squad and coaching staff.

We didn't get that either......so time to get real. We don't have a board, we don't have a coach and we don't have the players worthy of a place in the Championship.....or at least thats the impression they are giving the whole rugby league world at the moment. The club are also proving that the franchise decision to leave us out was 100% the correct one.

Has kelly lost the dressing room?After last nights display it appears he has trouble finding it.Mr kellys last job was defensive coach to ireland r.u.Maybe he should consider returning to the emerald isle.I for one am fed up of one man,down the middle rugby.

I rest my case M'Lord.

We won't go down, but we may struggle to make the top 6 if we put more performances in like that.

Our defence is sloppy when defending in our own half but this comes on the back of needless penalties. We need to improve that area of our game and stop giving stupid penatlies away on 4th and 5th tackles and stop giving away careless high tackles away.

We struggle to get field position because we recieve the ball and start our sets on the 10m line and we end up kicking on our own 40 and Fev start their sets on their 30m line.

Our forwards didn't look interested last night - they laboured back meaning backs like Mort, Maden and Stanton were taking our first 3 tackles and that rarely gets you on the front foot.

Our play the balls are slow and we have no pace around the ruck, even when Durbin came on, he didn't attack their line enough. We didn't seem to want to 'take a chance' until the last 10 minutes, we didn't ask enough questions with offloads and 2nd phase play - when we did, we made breaks and found gaps.

We should beat Batley on Monday if we cut out the silly errors.

Oh, and it would be a massive mistake to get rid of Kelly in my opinion.

Durbin doesn't attack the line enough! When he does he or we usually score

I agree, same with Jock. I think Stanton's non try and Rudd's try came from Jock running from dummy half and taking the ball to the line.
