What are the academy eligibility rules DGM, and also more importantly u14/16 as it's those age groups that are more important due to all U19's being at other clubs today

For clarity i want Toronto to succeed, ideally with a different coach who I wish fails miserably, because the expansion of our sport internationally is vital

I share that view too, but you still come across pretty bitter, but does it really matter now (re. Rowley)? It seems like a small element of Leigh fans have got it in for Toronto because of it, which is a shame.

Like hull fans for Cookey I suppose. We had built for 2016, what happened has made us when it could so easily have broke us, with the conductor seemingly hell bent on causing as much destruction as possible. Toronto or Halifax it would be the same.

The underhand, no, despicable manner in which Rowley & Perez Toronto club have gone about their recruitment leaves a very sour taste. To my mind the Toronto Club should be investigated for their 'dealings' around player recruitment, especially those 'recruited' from Leigh.

As has been said, this could so easily have destroyed any ambition Leigh Centurions had of achieving SuperLeague status, at least for the near future maybe long term, thankfully it forced changes that would in the end see this great Club outperform 3 established SL Clubs & effectively finish 10th in SL 2016.

Its not on the radar with Perez,he has nothing to do with Canada RL.His interest in the sport is purely entertainment value on TV Networks.He has no interest in the infrastructure of the game.I hope I eat those words in time,but I doubt it.

I agree its time to move on and sort our own infrastucture out concerning the game.Lets always remember its the Community Clubs that feed the academies without them you have no academy.Again I posted elsewhere 1 player in 17 under the current academies reaches pro status and they will be snapped up by the bigger clubs.Not just a case of having an academy and following the norm,feeding the bigger clubs.That needs to stop.

As for the recruitment strategy of Toronto,you would have had to be there to understand it.We have all moved on,but we'll never forget it for different reasons.

In the end it didn't affect you you were promoted and when a coach leaves for another club they often raid there old club plus how many of those players who left would you have kept this season anyway

I tend to agree, but then I'm in an odd position being a Leigh fan and living in Canada! On the other hand, sport is all about rivalries and however they start they can add a bit of a frisson of excitement, as long as it doesn't get out of hand.

We missed SL last season with Rowley and the new Toronto players.

Gained SL this season without them.

If the Toronto oewner had been allowed to invest in Leigh we would not be having this discussion.
What's done is the past, lets move on as we have SL to consider not Rowleys mercenaries.
