This pack we've got will smash Batley to pieces regardless of how many duels they can get hold of this year or who coaches them!!!

We are Leigh and we will be taking it to every single one of these clubs in the Championship this year no matter who they are. Some great teams and coaches in this league so I can't wait for this season to start now.

may be true.....based on this year's batley side....but then again we hear the same every pre-season........its probably not Batley who you will have to worry about this its the other 2 or 3 usual suspects I guess.........I bet its a relief that you wont have to go through the play off's though to get one of the top two spots on offer lol

Andy you know how much I like your Enthusiasm and I feel your positive vibes are very infectious , nowt wrong with either , but im not getting to carried away by anything , its happened in the past where we have been expecting this and that , and it hasn't happened , I hope im totally wrong , but Batley for me are a Spoiling side , they don't play open rugby , and I feel a 10 point win will be OK . Looking forward to seeing where we are at as playing SL teams doesnt give us a clear indication .

Getting excited for the season now. I think if Batley play their similar style of relying on size and power we'll beat them fairly easily, we have the pack to handle it with the creativity and speed in the backs to score a few points against them. Should be a good interesting game to see just how we play.

LS I really hope you are right , the bullfrogs wont turn up net week to lie down they never do , ive never been more optimistic about a new season as I am now , but I want to see our team play in a Competitive game before making any predictions .There are a couple of weak teams in the League this year , but also a couple of strong ones to , I also hope the Leigh Public come out to in numbers to support the Centurions .Not just the Die-hards .

Be interesting to see what the attendance will be. Only been to odd games for the last few years, but there is a genuine interest in the outcome of this season. A good result to kick start the season could be vital in ensuring the likes of myself (bringing son and grandson) attend more than not this season.

One thing is for sure. Batley will be out to show that they are contenders this season, so will be no push overs, but.....
This big mobile pack we have will take on any pack and always have us on the front foot. That will give our half backs the space and time that will give our much improved back line some quality ball. I can't wait to see Riddy, Kes, Kay etc getting the ball from a quick play the ball after a rollicking run from one of our pack.

Just had a phone call from my youngest daughter.

Leigh Miners Rangers under 8's will run out with the team on Sunday.

So you will see twinkletoes (one of my grandsons and faster than Des Drummond) and consequently his mam and dad will be there too.

His dad used to play for Leigh' he was bloody useless.

Really hope we put batley to the sword is so important we get off to a good start so people sit up and take notice that leigh are going to take some stopping this year. Think fev are still the team to beat but really think we can finish 2nd this year... Come on leigh
