What exactly did Ryan expect to happen when resigning as our only fit half back?

I've had employees resign and then escorted them off the premises

Ultimatly he signed a fixed term contract, he should honour that contract, if there is a reason he cant, then either say why, or say nothing ,

And as I put earlier, what 1 player earns or how he is treated is of no concern to any other player ,end of

Brierley (or his agent) are the ones orchestrating the media circus. It has been going on for far too long. Brierley handed his notice in on Monday night. It got leaked through the press and it clearly didn't come out through Leigh. Rowley left and about an hour later Total RL already had an 'exclusive' containing confidential details about Brierley's contract and it's clauses and stating he was about to walk.

Has a player outside the top flight ever had so much endless speculation about his every move? It isn't a coincidence. Him or his agent use the press to keep as much attention and hype about him as they possibly can. And it works, he is never out of the papers.

I don't hate him as I don't care enough about him. I am however a lifelong rugby fan and take an interest in rugby in the media. I'm also interested as Bradford have been accused of doing something they accused my club of doing, seems unlikely. Turning on people who have had leighs interests at heart seems to be what Leigh fans are about nowadays.

ah right so Paul Rowley really did his best to make sure Leigh finished bottom of the league or in mid table oblivion all those years before he left and then the hate comments started, those pesky players messing that one up eh. Brierley tried really hard not to score any points and constantly stated he wanted to stay whilst Beaumonts media circus went on around him before the comments on him being a crap player anyway and in it for the money(cause rhinos could have paid him much less)and now hes "letting the club down". And Allan Rowley what a masterstroke with his masterplan to doom Leigh to oblivion and that's why there's now a thread berating him on your board.

Club having sat on Ryans resignation for 4 days then issue statement

Ryan forced to issue response to refute clubs claims

So, why didnt Ryan go public on monday?

Why didnt club go public on Tuesday?

Actually & FWIW, although I don't know you from Adam & wouldn't normally listen to one word uttered by a Fev Fan, I agree with much of what RFF & JGR are saying.

This Club *My much Loved Club* is in a worse than horrendous place right now.

1 season ago I only wished for one thing *promotion to SL for LCRLFC* .....
now I wish for a few things

1. Promotion to SL for LCRLFC
2. DB to STFU
3. Stability & to stop the rot within the Club.

To me, as JGR has quite rightly said, there seems to be many Leigh fans who might once have hailed Ryan as a hero & the best player outside SL etc *or similar types of reference to RB* who are now only too willing to denounce him as the Devil incarnate.

RB has consistently shown great passion for this fine Club who made him the player he is today & also for the fans who took him in as a valued member of the FamiLeigh.
He has been by far our most prolific try scorer & one of our top 3 most consistent performers.

Normally I would not have a bad word said about my most cherished RL Club, but IMHO * & I realise it might not be worth Jack*, DB is at the root of all of this discord within Leigh Centurions.

Yes he has backed the Club with his hard earned cash, yes again he has the best interests of the Club at heart & only wants the best for the Club, but he is making LCRLFC a laughing stock & has become a Mk1 version of MarwanK CarCrash.

Would PR still be Head Coach if it wasn't for DB ?
Would Alan Rowley still be on the BOD if it wasn't for DB ?
Would RB submit his notice if it wasn't for DB & the surrounding issues at LCRLFC ?

How many more players will leave by the end of this season ?
Is Rangi on his way out ?
Are Bob Beswick & Liam Kay banned from the Club/suspended ?

Did Derek interfere with or demand certain signings that maybe Paul Rowley did not want ? *Hock/Chase* ? Has Derek interfered with or demanded certain team selections ?
Is this why Paul left ?

Why would PR leave his home town RL Club which he has taken to NRC Champions, 2 x Championship League Leaders & a Championship Champions title & 2 successive Challenge Cup Quarter Finals ?

All of these things should sound warning alarms for all Leigh Centurions fans.

One thing is certain, should these issues not be resolved quickly & should we lose Beswick &/or Kay or any other stand out player then we can forget promotion, maybe not just this year either, this current turmoil could set the Club back 10 or 20 years.

If DB should suddenly give up on his dream of SL for Leigh, then what ?
A team full of players on top dollar with contracts that need to be paid, that's what.

Now, I haven't been a member of this forum as long as many here, but I stand by my opinions & I am prepared to take the bullets.

Either Derek has an epiphany of epic proportions & goes the same way as MarwanK Mk2 *allowing the Head Coach to coach & pick the team/signings or I really fear for our Club.

I won't be seeing you tomorrow *listening on MixLR* but I will be seeing you at Fax.
