Agreed we have many good forwards but he is a very very good forward. The problem for me is the 1 month. He's obviously not getting into the w!g@n 1st team, we could find a use from him if he could fit into our big squad. I honestly don't think1 month is anywhere near enough, if he came back on loan for the rest of the season he could really do some good work for us then go back to w!g@n really challenging for a 1st place spot. Not sure what 1 month gets anyone to be honest.

I'm sure the 1 month period will be at the request of Wigan in case they are in an injury crisis down the line after the minimum 28 day period). It does not mean it cannot be extended and I'm sure that is a strong possibility.
For now the month loan gets us Sam for 5 key games (including next round of the cup , and since Swinton pushed Fev close on the weekend so will be tough)
For now I can't wait to see him back in a Leigh shirt, and I'm sure Rochdale would rather he not be this Sunday

As mentioned, due to full time training having Sam back fitter and stronger than when he left us can only be a good thing for Leigh RL. I have always rated this lad and watched him come through the ranks at Leigh East.

I love Sam he's a great player, was sad to see him go, it's a good move for him.
However we don't really need a prop , we have Acton Spencer Wilkes Emmitt bate Duffy and Ostick also Thornley can fill in there so why would we need Sam .

I know we want a first two finish, so are we saying that these players are nt good enough, if so why sign them ???
I worry this could cause upset in our tight knit group of players, we already have Bullock Briscoe and Govin out on loan too.

I don't coach the team nor am I football director but Paul did explain some of his reasoning in the press release I quote:

"We have a sickness bug in the camp at the moment, and have lost two more players due to tonsillitis, so it was a good time for the squad to receive a shot in the arm and a welcome boost."

We have a lot of tough games in a short space of time coming up and I'm sure all the players you quote above will get game time and IMO the ones out on loan will come back stronger for it.

I was delighted to see Sam come back and rate ever single player at our club very highly, we need every single one of them this year in some capacity and we are all in this together.

The Watcher hopes that bringing back Hopkins for 1 month does not upset the team spirit at the club. He can imagine that those players who have been overlooked & had their noses pushed out of the 1st team trough will not be very pleased at all. The Watcher also hopes that Rowley has not been bullied into taking this player back, by the pie eaters, so that he can maintain his fitness levels & get him some game time.

It's been mentioned before there's a bug in the camp so numbers are down & with a top 2 being paramount Rowls needs to field the strongest team possible & Hoppy should improve our team. DR's never seemed to effect our own players in the past so I doubt a loaning Hoppy will IMO bringing the lad back who already knows the set up & who is now a full time player is a great move the lad is a beast

No way will Paul be bullied into taking anyone but a coach will always want more players the more the better !

I have it said previously myself as well as having other people mention the same to me, but the squad is short of at least one good centre.

Where can we quickly clone another Trevor Allan? That would most definitely solve it, I say.

The Watcher AGAIN shows his lack of knowledge of our head coach and the football directors.
This mornings training session looked like a scene from Holby City we have a few forwards out for tomorrows game but the replacements won't let us down, Sam looked like he had never been away and looked strong, but there will be a few missing faces from last weeks game and the replacements will have their chance to stake a place for themselves.

The answer for me is, no we don't need a prop, not if we have a fully fit set of props

with the names you mention above and Hopkins to pick from, can you say that Sam wouldnt make the 17 if you (or i) picked it.
What would have been been said by some if Sam had gone out on loan to another rival Champ club. I for one am 100% behind Sam coming here and PR's decision (he doesn't seem like a fella who'd be easily bullied !).

I must agree there VL , as Rowls is his own man makes his own mind up , as it should be , im glad Sam is back in the fold , hope it can be longer , id play an Eskimo if he was good enough .
