i would imagine that the conversation i witnessed between steward and ticket office would be ok but never the less i have voiced concerns. with hope that they use today as a excercise on what happens with poor comunication and move on and improve from it

They should all quit. It's a disgraceful shambles that brings the whole game into disrepute.

Obviously a mistake has occurred. It shouldn't have and now we have to learn from it.

I was behind a avid fan who had rang up and been to the ticket office and been told that he could use his ticket at the turnstyles, however when he got there the girl on the turnstyle wouldnt let him in, even when a steward confirmed the ticket office had authorised they could use the Salford ticket, he had to go back and queue, this obviously was the reason the game was delayed, as I beleive there was a big queue at this point.

He isn't over reacting. He's taking the p**s. Believe me, I know him and his sense of humour quite well. Sarcastic - yes. over re-acting - no.

Aha so Peawapp it appears was not alone in being treated like He was , more People have complained about yesterday's monumental cock up. the fact is I fear that we are sadly out of our depth, it seems to me that we must only post positive things on these pages for some People who see only blue skies, I've been in Town this morning and believe me I have heard more stories, I wont bother repeating them on here ,as the usual suspects will appear to slag me off. I have slept since yesterday and I am now over it but I promise you that I will not be caught again

I am glad you raised it. Same thing happened to a couple of my mates and they were very annoyed too.

The club will see that it doesn't happen again.

Communication with any WMBC employee I always find difficult, so I suppose LSV should be no different.

We must try and get LSV co to make it as easy as possible for fans to attend games - we need a pay turnstyle, we know it can be done so lets just get on with it. Every game we don't gives the excuse not to attend to some, but more importantly it allows them to moan about how hard it is to get access

What we must also do is commence seperate adults and concessions gates, the same scams were on show again yesterday - have the seperate gates and challenge people in the queue.

It's a big leap to conclude from a one-off failure of communication, in unusual circumstances, that the club is 'out of its depth'.

I'm also struggling to accept that you didn't expect a negative reaction on a Leigh fans forum when you start out:



Your first sentence leaps from telling us you're never going again - we all appreciate the public pronouncement - straight through to an accusation that communication at the club is 'non existent', which is massively overblown nonsense and you know it.

I understand why other Leigh fans are going to have a problem with that comment.

You are welcome to post your own opinions on the situation, and you have, but don't complain when others have their own opinions and they don't agree with yours.

Regarding the ticket situation, I doubt the club will allow this kind of thing to ever happen again. But it's irrelevant for yourself peawapp, because you've decided to never come back to the LSV anyway.

Problems like this often occur because training and guidance have not been given to the people carrying out the task or tasks. If the person responsible for turnstile operatives or stewards have not given the correct instructions to the employees, then errors like this will occur. This incident needs to be reported and a plan of action drawn up to eliminate any problems of this nature occurring in the future.

I understand Peawapps (and the others) aggravation and he’s right it was poor communication, but to state we are out of our depth etc is taking it out of proportion, I posted on here that we had a similar thing with Leigh East Girls at Huddersfield a couple of years back, when we were guests of the RFL and couldn’t get in because the Stewards knew nothing about it. Last season our tickets wouldn’t work at the automatic turnstiles watching Rovers at Old Trafford, we had to go back to the ticket office for replacements only for them not to work either, this season at Bloomfield Road we had to go to four different pick up points before we actually got our tickets.

It happens pass on your concerns to LSV and hopefully they’ll learn from it, but I wouldn’t be shocked if I hear of something similar anytime soon.
