| Like Starbug I had occassion to travel into Warrington last week and it took me 45 minutes to travel from the m62 roundabout to Wickes DIY store which is just past the HJ then it took me 35 minutes to get back, and that was in general traffic conditions so Warrington fans can't have any complaints what'so ever, still laughing at the SL licence jibe though how thick are they?

| The RFL placed the game at the LSV so idiots trying to blame us for anything when all we do is play games there just shows their small mentality.

| Quote: Leyther_Matt "Good luck with parking on Tesco on a matchday!
Plenty of parking at Wire if you're prepared to walk 5-10 minutes, and it's no different whatsoever at Leyth.'"
Exactly what I was getting at Matt. Of course, maybe strangers would actually have to research that, before setting out? I reckon there is actually more 'on-site' parking (if it was available) at LSV than at HJ.

I do believe the club released a statement warning of inevitable congestion and advising people to arrive in good time. See the last paragraph of this statement.

Most events I've been to with large crowds (rugby, football, concerts etc) have had parking issues. It's common sense to plan your journey and arrive in good time.

Silly post by a silly non thinker. Sorry la but that's how it comes over. I say la as you are probably an exiled scouser. PS what time did you get home ?

There's not even a comparison to make Alan, there isn't ANY 'official' car parking for general use at the HJ versus maybe four figures worth at the LSV?

| Went to a little pub across from Penington flash before the game and parked there.
There's not a lot of parking around the ground - next time I'll take the bus

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

The Robin Hood
Don't worry , we won't be getting any more , you'll all be able to moan about Salford , Saints and Cas/Wakey if they ever materialise , from now on
I get the feeling that's why we got this one , our only other one will be Tonga v USA in the 2013 WC

You are not wrong. I arrived in Plenty of time... Roads were chocka. I saw the sign for overflow parking at Pennington Flash, that will be the safest be I thought. Wrong, full!
So had to drive past the ground. As expected stadium car park was full.
But a couple of observations....
- No footpaths by the main road
- A new Morrisons car park locked up and completely empty.
Who designs these towns I ask myself? I found myself turning into a right Victor Meldrew as KO time was approaching!
Anyway, I found a side street and just made KO.
Of course it is not Leigh's fault. The RFL put the game on and they ought to have had signs saying that car-parks were full and people directing you to where you could park.
I look forward to my visits to the LSV next year when I have no problem parking at the ground
What amazed me most was to see the old Hilton Park location completely empty. I mean, what a waste.
