I thought Swinton scored the better tries, but would have never got into the position to score had it not been for our mistakes, bad discipline and Mr Leatherbarrow. I have to say Jamie Ellis goes missing in attack. Not sure if it's because Mick Govin is bossing the plays but he looks anonymous at times and Govin looks greedy. I thought Chris Hill and Ricky Bibey were excellent together. That break Hilly made was class and he looked like a standoff going through. Mills looked good and Higson is a first choice for me. He also showed that he is fast when he turned round and beat the Swinton players to the ball. His defence and attack is what we need every week. Armstrong looked good so did McGilvary. JT and TG worked hard also. Like someone said, it's a good job Morty didn't have his kicking boots on or the score would have looked a bit different. Didn't like some of the remarks from some of our short of memory fans. Ian was a good servant to this club and he didn't deserve the stick he was getting. Going to put money on Swinton going up tomorrow. I have seen them twice now and they look very good. A win is a win and the game was entertining but we need to improve on that showing.

we noticed right from the off this season, he always seems to be where play is not!

Thought Hill, Jimmy Taylor and Govin were outstanding today, first chance i've had to see Ellis in the flesh and didn't really notice him do much. We look a bit undurcooked at the minute, which is probably a good thing as we'd already peaked at this time last year.

Shows that a lot of fans are stubborn in their negative views of players, Nanyn and Ridyard got it all game off him.

Swinton were dead and buried until the ref allowed them endless posession late first half/early 2nd.
Our left defence was exposed, we needed to hold the line and pick out the runners like we did last week at Batley.
The pace of the game was slow, I assume it was about keeping the game closer, and didnt suit us.
Ferocious defence in the middle, especially Taylor, Hill was outstanding. Thornley runs good lines. Dont know why Nicholson didnt play. Higson did plenty work, as did McGilvray.
