So please explain the selection of Ellis yesterday Leyther, Bell was at first reciever most of the time right or left of the ruck except when a kick was required, when Bell wasn't on the field I'm sure I observed Reynolds and Ellis looking at each other and shrugging their shoulders saying "what are we supposed to do now"



Like I intimated to in the opening post, Duffy is a rookie coach not up to this standard but in his loyalty to ex Leyth players it seems Mr Beaumont is blinded as to what is required, on his watch we have had Rowley, Jukes, Purtill and now Duffy, is Mr Beaumont so out of touch with what is required or has he some other issue with employing a strong experienced character who will insist on doing things his own way? It pains me to say such things as I believe we would in all probability not have much of a club without his generosity over the years but he needs to let go, employ someone of proven expierience and take a more passive role, in a recent column in the match programme he says he approached Kristian Woolfe but the timing was wrong at the time, so having lost out on him why stop looking? He also says he discussed an ambassadorial role with Mr Wane but again that was fruitless, don't stop looking Derek!

Struggling to keep upbeat, fitness is a big issue

Until DB stops putting yes men into key positions and picking the team himself this will keep on happening.

The consistent selection of Reynolds at stand off baffles me. Again his tactical kicking was abysmal, as was his kicking to touch from penalties that usually barely got further than 10 yards but the nadir came midway during the 2nd half, when it was only 6-16 and on the last tackle on their 20 metre line,his attempted cross field kick went backwards!! How Brierley gets left out is beyond me. He is the best goal kicker in the club, and his superb chip for Ellis’s try against Wigan was a delight to watch.

Bit baffled on Brierley being out myself thought he was a threat against Wigan. May be back next week with Russel injured. Think is passion and pace is worth a place.

I don’t see that changing without a change in personnel.

It’s looking like we won’t win a game unless we start to get a bit of luck and belief

If we need luck and belief to win a game then this just highlights the inadequacy of the squad.



Have we started recruiting for next season?

Luck has nothing to do with it but whose belief are you referring to?



If it is players they should pack in, if it is fans it won’t affect dire performances.

What’s that Carvell up to?

They are fulltime.. Surley we can’t doubt the conditioner.

On the question of recruitment in RL and whether we are being linked with any players, we don’t seem to see the same level of secrecy in rugby union and Premier League football giving those sports far greater media coverage.



Perhaps we are not trying to recruit more quality for this season or next.



If there is no relegation this year will we be in the same position next season using the excuse that there are no players available?



Does the quality of the squad indicate that the operational board already knows there will be no relegation?

Atomic, from what I can see Carvell along with a few others at the Club , is on a good number , how many assistants does JD need .?

Going of the performances and results more than he has got now!

and stop letting jukes keep going in the dressing room. the place is a mess

Jukes previously proved that a SL dressing room should most definitely be a no go zone for him.

Seriously though if Duffy is allowing Jukes or anyone else including Mr Beaumont into the dressing room it is saying that he is not strong enough mentally himself and that will also get through to the player's.
