Sheffield are a well drilled team getting back to some sort of the form they used to display , their league position shows that , but we restricted them to 2 try's , much less than other weaker teams have put past a supposed stronger team in recent matches , to me that was down to having a defence organising player at full back , as I said something we haven't seen since McNally'"
I had a chat with Hutch his brother along with Morts and who should turn up but Riddy.. Was waiting for Mcnallly to arrive. But never happened. Riddy says thats normal.

| Proud of the team the staff and supporters today. New faces fitted in and established names stepped up. Great show from MDJ, Morts showing his class.

Dagger at just 19 showed he has a very bright future in the game. Tim Sheens is a wise man, he will not be letting this lad depart any day soon.

Depending on our circumstances, would be worth putting an enquiry about a season long loan however.

Cory Aston, wasn't it? Son of coach Mark Aston, but only on loan to Sheffield from Castleford.

Spot on Alan.
I bet they thought "what the hell are we facing / comming in to"
When the North Stand bust into applause and singing during warm up, I saw both of them stood there in amazement, they looked and were mesmerized, it was great to see.
All the team couldn't have had a better welcome.
To me that was the most entertaining game of the season - strange but true cosidering our predicament.
Big hats off to the lads.

I thought the same, 'Zulu', and Sheffield contributed fully to that entertainment, in the first half. I thought it was played in an excellent spirit too - e.g. a couple of high tackles (one either way) and the two guys involved shook hands, patted shoulders and just got on with playing.

Praise where its due, Sheffield played their part in an entertaining game, no funny stuff and we left Senior alone too, he always got a bit of stick in the past !!
