That is just bad coaching Charlie.
Stewart is a fantastic defender put passing a ball from first / second receiver ? NO ! It makes it easier to defend due to the delayed pass.

So they say, but, for me, he does seem to have difficulty passing, re-adjusting the ball in his hands, before he releases a somewhat 'wobbly' pass!

| Quote: Harold Rigby Jnr "Yes and it is worth noting most of his early career was forged as a 6.
I am really looking forward to watching him. Let's see how Brown and young Declan Patten handles that as well.'"
Trouble is though Harold, that in 'today's game', half backs rarely get the chance to run at each other. In defence, the half backs tend to get shoved as far away from the action as possible, often outside the winger. At the scrum, you usually find the opposing prop lining up against your stand off!
Mind you, with Langi at stand off, the opposition may not be targeting him in defence!

Snowy my post was tongue in cheek, people keep saying he's playing to instructions from the Coaching Staff, but surely they must see it isn't working .

Alan, I'm not sure who on the Coaching Staff thinks he is a ball player, but surely they can see by now he isn't .

| It seems to take an age for our Coaching staff to realise anything
Ive said many times that Greg McNally was a better fullback than Brown ! Brown had a nightmare four away games and I don't know why Greg was dropped after the Wigan game?
I'm wondering when Brown is next going to have a good game? He'll want to improve on his last visit to the HJ

Agree, he has been disappointing this season has Mitch Brown. He looks low on confidence to me. I am not sure of his best position but it is not at centre in Super League either.
Another of our squad players that is a winger at best.

Not the fastest, not the slowest, how many breaks have we made this season where additional speed would have got us a try - not heard anyone criticise Crookes on here but I'm faster on one leg
Brown does a good job, and quite likely no-one else at the club could cover the positions he does (maybe Paterson)
He's also our top meter maker and not played FB much so he must be making yards elsewhere - or the rest of em are poop, and I don't think that's the case
He's not a world beater by any means, but by the same token not many in the squad come near that either
Plays week in week out unless I've missed something- when he becomes nothing but a squad player will be when we are progressing as a team

| Good post Col.
Brown however takes to many wrong options for me, he has size on his side yet is reluctant to attack the space, relying incessantly on feeding his winger when his winger is covered. Defensively he is lacking as well.
I don't want to be to harsh as I feel he can hold his own as a winger.
Bottom line is, I expected more of him this season.

Bottom line Harold is a fair few of the Leigh squad has underachieved this season, there have been some great results, which left many Leythers thinking we were better than we really were, whatever you put it down to, Bad defending, bad attacking, injuries or plain poor Coaching decisions,it's been a disappointing season.
I was never one of the Leigh will finish in the top 8 brigade, but I did think we would fare better than we did.I've heard it said Widnes are the worst team in SL, but they beaten us 3 times this season,I'm predicting the MPG awaits us in Perpignan, hopefully we can rise to the occasion.Tomorrow is not do or die , but is very very important.

With a fully fit squad there would be 2 likely options for him:
Wing (himself and Clare the likely ones for me)
Full Back, early indications were very good, he then had a couple of stinkers and then McNally has stepped up (done very well recently). However Brown has achieved in this position at a higher level than ourselves - reckon if got a run there he'd step up to the mark no problem

If that is the case, we are desperately thin on cover now!

| Trouble in the Wire camp. Star centre Hiku wants out and has been offered a 3 year deal at New Zealand Warriors. Just the news we wanted just before we play them.
