| Remember we are only talking about the remaining 6 months of his contract. So that's an extra 30k technically. Some FT players won't be far away from that in total.

Chase is a mystery but those on this thread who are taking the preverbial out of him would be wise to recall, Chase recently highlighted his battles withl illnes. Any employer equally has a duty to keep the health of its employees private. If he has had a relapse i hope he is receiving adaquate treatment. However i do not know for certain if thats the case. He did however win Leigh the game in his last match.
McNally got carried off against Warrington. I saw it with my own eyes. Alledgedly cruciate damage. Rotherham Fev Fan will have an alternative conspiracy theory though. He usually has a few corkers up his sleeve.
'"
All I know is Chase has been brought down by a flu - jukesy told us that one so it must be gen, and now has an hip injury as reported yesterday.... so it must be reight

| Quote John Gilbert Reds="John Gilbert Reds"You really think Brierley wanted an extra £15k, which after tax would be more like £7k net? Also, do you think with the amount of money Derek has been throwing around he would risk losing Ryan for FREE over £15k. Doesn't make sense at all.
Will be interesting when the real reasons surface, which I assume will be soon enough.'"
Did young Brierley want an extra £15k? He is not top earner at Leigh and He was the only fit half back at the club at the time he was alleged to have requested his contract be increased by that amount. The question for Derek was probably is he worth that amount mid season, bearing in the mindset of what he and his media team bring to the Leigh Centurions table overall. He was going to be off playing in SL in 6 months anyway.
After reading the official club statement and later discovering that Ryan was actually represented by an agency called " Show me the money UK" you make of that what you will.
I had to double check that agency name believe it or not. I still do maintain however that deep deep down Ryan did not want to leave Leigh this season. He / his agency took a gamble. It backfired.
That is my view just based on my opinion , so what is your view Sir? I am more than intrigued.

| My view is Ryan never asked for an additional £15k and simply decided to activate a clause in his contract which allowed him to leave the club if Paul Rowley ever did. Paul left the club because of the 'culture' that was beginning to evolve at the club, following the signings of certain players. Without the backing of his boss over how to eradicate this, he felt his position was untenable and left. Had the club been in great hands and all as well as it was last season, Ryan wouldn't have left, however he wants no part of the 2016 Leigh and I don't blame him.
Beaumont not only took a huge financial risk when he signed Chase, Hansen, Paterson, Maitua, Tonga etc but also an off-field risk. A lot of Leigh's current 17 were the reasons behind Salford's terrible off-field antics last season. If it pays off, great you've got Super League RL but so far you've lost a coach and your best player from 2015. Wonder boy Rangi is in rehab and nobody knows if/when he will be back.
Leigh deserve better, they came so close but in the end were so far from reaching Super League in 2016. Did they need such a huge overhaul? No.

Best player is your opinion!
You seem to be very knowledgeable about the 'goings on' at our club will Paul Rowley confirm he left because of the growing culture? or is he only going to tell you?
For my part, I'm delighted with the performances of the former Salford lads they have transformed our pack into a formidable Unit and, once we get a strong back line returning we be quite some team!(my opinion of course)
P.S. Are you Ryan's dad or, relative perhaps?

But if you think of the players in and out this close season, it's not the massive overhaul you would imagine.
We had to replace Wilkes, Aspinwall and Goulden, which brings Weston, Paterson and Hansen. All improvements imo. That leaves Maitua out of the ex-Salford forwards, and it's a matter of opinion on whether he's a better option than Haggerty or Sarsfield. Based on last season I would say yes.
Chase was always going to be the big gamble, but with biggest potential reward. Unfortunately our attack was awful for 5 1/2 games of the middle 8s last year.

You've hinted previously at this, presumably meaning the Salford lads. If Rowley was so opposed to them and thought they were bringing such a terrible 'culture' to the club I doubt he would have appointed Harrison Hansen and Cory Paterson as Vice Captains. Infact I seem to remember him singing the praises of the attitude and leadership qualities of those 2 players when the appointments were made which was not long before his departure.
I know you feel that they were an 'issue' at Salford but they seem to be settling in just fine here.

| So given it seems everyone knows where Rangi is but the Leigh club are still giving it the old cover up, is it plausible that they may also be lying over what has gone on with Brierley?

There have been a number of statements made by the club that have left me wondering what to believe, but am inclined to believe the club and Jukes' version of events on the Brierley saga.

Private and confidential ?
I sincerely doubt Neil Jukes was lying over Brierley. If you speak to any one, Neil Jukes is always referred to as a very honorable man.
