It's all about the process of gathering evidence isn't it to be fair. Yes, this person can't defend himself on here but given that 4 people have already identified him as someone who when questioned on the day, that he admitted it was him being racist by saying 'i'm allowed to be' then he's one of the only people we can be sure of. For most of the game these Fax fans would be hearing it behind them but looking at the pitch so if it was a group of 10, would be hard to give a positive ID on more than a few, which is the case so far as it appears to be 3 that did enough to clearly get noticed. If a fax fans started saying 'aye, it was him, him, him her, him etc' while looking at the photo that's clearly bull and is plucking people out just because they are in that area. But at this moment, given these 3 are the ones mainly mentioned, it's worth looking at the CCTV of these 3 during the game and if these are the ones being spoken to by the stewards then they haven't got much defence as all roads lead to them.

I have personally, along with a lot of other people I know of, to make the RFL, Leigh and Fax know of these people!! I have watched a lot of rugby league over the years amateur, professional both as a fan and as a guest of officials and I have never experienced this sort of situation again and will do my upmost to ensure that these people do not ruin our brilliant game there is no place in rugby league for thugs and racists

If I had know those in question, I wouldn't have posted it on here, I would have notified LSV/Leigh Centurions, they are the ones who need to investigate/act, they should also be talking to the steward who was notified.

Incidents like this are a police matter, give them the evidence and I am sure they will look at the cctv and talk to the steward and anyone else they could talk to who were on that picture although I am sure 95% of the them would be annoyed they were being questioned about racist behaviour

there is more than one individual involved in this!! A lot of Fax fans have mailed the RFL, Leigh and Fax about this abuse, racism and intimidation. I heard racist comments about Rob Worrincy calling him a n****r and that he should have his visa taken off him when we replied about racism we were told that if we didn't want racist comments then we knew what to do 'get rid of our black players'. I spoke to a steward but got no joy there!!

IMO, the affected fax fans with this evidence should have already contacted the police.

Some serious allegations here on a public forum - not sure it's the best way to resolve this. There is no reason whatsoever to doubt what the Fax fans are saying but this could easily turn into a public witchhunt.

'The lad in the pink shirt' might only be a point of reference to a picture at the moment but once the rumour mill gets going before you know it he's a 'racsist thug who spat at my wife and ate my dog'.

Unfortunately the LSV stewards should have dealt with the problem but failed to take appropriate action. If fans hadn't raised this issue on the forum the individuals concerned would probably get away with it. In the absence of numbered rows/aisles, identifying the individuals concerned would be difficult after the event. In hindsight the police should have been notified at the time, but the LSV staff should have done this. The pictures posted have provided an opportunity to identify the position in the ground and now the relevant investigations can take place. Nobody has asked for names to be posted on here just that statements of the incident/Positive ID's be passed to Greater Manchester Police/ LSV/ Clubs. Alex's dad raises a good point and we don't, as he says, need a which hunt about it.

Maybe, now that the photo is on here, simply lock this thread and let the individuals who know who they are to contact the appropriate authorities and point them out that way. We've pretty much sussed it's mainly 3 people but to save someones image being dragged into it publically, we should maybe not let people point them out on here.
