After sending their kids in the friendly and not supporting us on loan players over the last few seasons,it will be good to rekindle our hatred of Wigan,things were getting a bit too cosy for my liking

Ben Davies is defo going to Widnes been some wrangling over money?? according to my sources lenigan and hogan had agreed to send Ben to Leigh, but the coaching staff decided he would be better off at Widnes?? even though Ben would prefer to play for his hometown club.

Widnes are a bigger club than Leigh, always have been and always will be. Ben has a chance at winning silverware and playing in an all round great setup. His current reserve team almost beat you recently so is he really bettering himself at Leigh?

The deal has been on the cards for a while but dont get announced for a while until they can play.

Ian Lenegan said he'd help Leigh should it be in ours and the players interest, and this time it obviously isn't for whatever reason. Also, we didn't agree to field ''our first team'' for the friendlies and regardless of the team we have sent, Leigh have benefited both on and off the pitch thanks to us.

A big factor could be Ian Millward and the poor relationships he built whilst at Wigan. The current manager of the Wigan players had a well documented fall out with him and didn't like his man management, so that could have played a part too.

Either way, we have helped Leigh in one way or another since Lenegans reign and it would be pathetic for anybody from Leigh to whinge about Wigan not giving them something when a better deal whether financial or performance related is available for us.

Actually Alex (and I have it on video) The Wigan Ch exec Mr Hogan said at the LSV after the game V Wigan 'We will do all in our power to assist you (Leigh) in your quest for SuperLeague, as the contest needs more teams from this side of the hills and what better team than our nearest neighbours', so the first time we ask for help we get refused, ohh and the agreement was 'Strongest team avilable' so get off the high horse and admit Wigan have not done what they said they would.
I personally am thankfull that Wigan have agreed to play the three games and can understand why they sent 'the kids' but stop trying to defend the undefensible, it was a shabby trick to play on your own speccies full stop.

Just because we're not sending Davies on loan to you doesn't mean we're not helping you. He's one of our best prospects and we want to put him in the best environment for the best possible deal and we don't think that is Leigh, so why should we lose out to help you whom we have no ties with what so ever? Just because you've lost out on this occaision doesn't mean we're going back on our intentions. In fact, I know a player in our reserves who is in talks with you and as long as the player and Wigan are satisfied with agreements then it will go ahead and that will be ''our way of assisting you getting into Super League.'' You can't expect us to just hand you things on a plate! We obviously have to benefit from agreements too, afterall it's a business as well as a Rugby club.

In regards to the ''shabby trick'' to play on our speccies. They announced the team days in advance of the game so that spectators we're able to see what they were about to pay for and then make their own decision whether to go to the game or not. I saw the team and made the decision not to pay the £14.00 to go the the fixture. How is that a shabby trick?

You should just be thankful Wigan give you anything at all.
