Quote: Alan "Agreed.

From 34-10, two weeks ago, to 68-6 yesterday, against the same opposition, was a good measure of how a 'new' team has improved. Excellent defence, under pressure, and skilful attacking play, with a winger receiving four try scoring passes. If only..........................!'"

not really measurable Alan but i do agree that it was a good performance and the fans first class

Again the score against was the real bonus , 2 games , 3 try's against , 1 an interception and the one this week from a blatant obstruction by the ref

Very happy with the performance , looking forward to the Barrow game

Hi EVO,

I reckon it was directly measurable though, against our previous game against the same opposition, when the team only managed to train once together, the day before the game.

I wish we had shown similar understanding in defence, earlier in the season. (e.g. we scored 70+ at Sheffield, but also conceded 20+)

Organisation is the key , by the person at the back , as I said very early in the season " who gave Craig Hall the no1 shirt ? "

And who dropped McNally ?

I know you do as you previously posted, different teams different game different circumstances so it's my opinion as not directly measurable

Opinions, opinions, eh? icon_wink.gif

So, he says, pushing his luck, do you not think Sunday's performance was an improvement on the previous game against Sheffield? icon_wink.gif

I wish! (and didn't the owner promise that too? icon_wink.gif )

However, I merely comment on progress from the first Sheffield one to yesterday's. I'm wise enough (cynical enough ?) not to necessarily expect that improvement to continue! icon_wink.gif

Your certainly right, organisation is the Key and, who is that has been entrusted with the 'Key'? Ben Reynolds is the name ! I'm not a fan of Jack Owens however, Kieron please don't put Reynolds back at Stand Off you saw how Hutchison flourished when he had sole responsibility on Sunday. If you must play Reynolds, play him at Centre you never know, he might turn out like Matty Dawson who has been a revelation at Centre and Dawson's play with Bergal is really exciting to watch icon_thumb.gif

Ben got a knee injury in the first Sheffield game, stayed on the pitch, limping, and then got a bang on his other thigh, forcing him off. He was limping very badly at the end of the game, (on both legs!) so I would assume he missed last weekend because of injury.

Didn't the club receive offers for both Ben & Liam Hood? I think I read that those offers were refused by the club, as being too low, so that was the club's choice to keep those two players. Curiously, Ryan Bailey (and Jamie Acton) appeared in the stand, after half time.

I hadn't heard about Ben, but was told about Ryan Bailey ,I didn't see him at the game on Sunday.

He (Bailey) was there with Acton, and sat with our departed players - Mata'utia, Hansen and Bodene Thompson. Perhaps that's an omen? icon_wink.gif I didn't see Ben, but was told he was excused to attend a family event. (but that's hearsay and I shouldn't repeat it on here! icon_wink.gif )

I was referring to our defensive display , 2 games , just 3 try's conceded , it took Rochdale about 8 minutes to achieve that

Ben Reynolds is not costing the club a lot of money. In fact he is on a mere pittance, compared to some.
