The lads (if they win) should receive the trophy on the pitch immediately after Fridays game whilst the euphoria of topping the league is at its optimum highest. It would be a great night and a fitting reward.

Leave the heritage match as a deservedly stand alone important event.

Of course that is only my opinion.

I agree that event Deserves its own day IMHO

I hope we get it on Friday (if we win (or draw)), it'll be absolutely fantastic to beat Featherstone, secure top spot AND be presented with a piece of silverware all on the same night! Although it would be good to get it at the Workington Heritage game, all the legends there celebrating the club's great history and this current team making history and receiving the shield.

So long as we win on Friday I'll be happy though, that's what counts.

I'm happy either way but fev have rubbed it in our faces so many times, would love to get a bit if revenge !

Mate, it's only a couple of years since I chipped in a few bob for LISA's appeal to save your club.

Probably best not to crow about IOUs and clubs in a bit of difficulty.

Ideally we could do BOTH days to show the Hubcap.

Just a lap of honour with it on Fri ............(unless we play tactics for second place) then a full presentation on heritage day.

This is what should happen - build up the heritage day to the max - old and new players, old and new fans with something to celebrate!! And plenty of extra time to get the presentation into the marketing of the day to get an even bigger crowd down!

I agree, Friday's game alone and the possibility of securing top spot should be enough incentive for non regulars to attend. A marketing drive behind the Workington/Heritage day game along with the shield presentation would be much better for me and perhaps attract a better crowd than the fixture may normally receive.
