Saturday 3pm just seems an odd switch, especially with what previously seemed to be a preference for later kick offs on a Saturday? Not trying to kick up a stink, just think it's an odd one to put us head to head with the early weeks of the football season.

| Club website (and Workington's) says 3 p.m. An evening kick off wouldn't be that fair on Workington, or their fans.

I'd agree if it was a Sunday evening kick off, but Saturday evening shouldn't be a problem?

| Have to agree with Matt 6 30pm kick off would see a bigger crowd and Worky fans would be able to get home by about 10 30pm.

| Well it now says on the Official website that it is a 3pm kick off and the Fax home game is Wednesday June 11 with an 8pm kick off.

| The game has been changed to help launch the Heritage numbers. We wanted to make it a special day - David Eckersley is over from Australia too. We are hoping to get as many past players as possible to the game.
We couldn't get any other Saturday due to functions being booked in the bars.
Regarding KO time, Workington requested an earlier KO rather than a 6:30pm KO.
If we can pull off our plans (just back from another meeting!) I'm sure we can do the club and it's supporters proud with all the work Mike Latham has done in getting this together.
We need supporters and players all getting behind the club for this and help to make it a day to remember.

Is it part of a weekend celebration ?
Must admit I'll probably miss it due to the football but was wondering if there is some kind of event on the Sunday as well if a lot of ex players are in the area as would've been nice to see them?

| I don't buy into all this soccer paranoia. We had a great crowd v Fev against what I'm told was an exciting EPL title race (I will have to take your word for it).
This Saturday will be huge, especially for the families of those who have played for the club- many of which I'm sure will want to drive over and stay the night when details are released. On the field it could well be a key game too.
