| It wouldn't be massively suprising to find out that a savvy businessman wants to buy both the stadium and club out of administration. From their point of view, it would probably represent a better deal.

| The sticking point is that the club would not go into administration, it would cease to be and any new company would have to submit business plans to the RFL and probably start in Championship One.

Not very savvy. If the said businessman wanted any sort of a return on his investment he would know that the club had to get into SL. If the club went into administration then all chance of it getting to SL would be lost as the RFL would use this against any club wanting to gain a licence.

Why can't the club go in to admin instead of being liquidated.?

Can you explain what "any sort of return" means for a businessman? Surely the businessman isn't expecting to make money?

They own the ground (I think?) and probably still had players under contract who are deemed as assets if you can get a transfer fee for them.

| In the current recession HMRC has a Business Payment Support Service: introduced by the Government in 2008. It said that all SME's with cashflow issues should be able to get a time to pay arrangement with HMRC.
My assumption is that this is either a wind up or the club have offered a fraction of the amount owing instead of agreeing the payment plan.
