Can none of the East stand be opened for use ?
I know theres work filling in the South East corner of the ground but didn't realise the capacity had been cut by so much for this match.

Put the cameras in that stand so they TV viewers dont realise its empty.

They'll be in East & West.
Seems a shame though if we end up with people not being able to get a ticket when both clubs could do with the money and the ground will have a complete stand empty (its capacity is 16,000).
In fairness to the RFL its only once gone over 9,000 when Hull KR played Cas back in 2005 so they probably never thought they'd need to ask that if it started to sell well could extra capacity be found in the East Stand of the ground.

Either way, its a very good effort by Leigh and Halifax to sell so many so quickly.

Yet you can still buy tickets tonight direct from rfl website in blocks c,d and f ( fax end behind posts ) even though fax have offically announced on thier site they now have all remaining tickets from rfl, and blocks in our end !!! Not quite adding up the rfl wouldnt be telling little white lies would they and maybe not as close to a sell out has we are being led to belive ????

I often criticise the RFL, but fair dos to them over this. None of their employees has enough fingers to be able to count to 9,000 on, as far as I know! (no comments about Widnes fans please )

It's a great effort by the clubs but poor from the RFL as we will yet again have another sell out occasion played out in front of vast empty spaces. A bit like when they sold out the four nations final 2 years ago only to have the entire top tier of the east stand at elland road empty. Another 10 days to go between ourselves, fax and the Rfl if we sell 33 tickets each a day then we will have 10000 tickets sold.

I dont see how you can blame the RFL for this at all.

As soon as something goes wrong, or in hindsight could have gone better, its not, by default a cock up by the RFL.

Simple Jimmy 16k seats, and we have 9k sell out 19 days before the event only the RFL can achieve this. I'd also imagine on most sporting events the 10 day run up is the most active selling period along side the first few days of sales
