| haven't thought it thru properly, but first thing that came to mind was that four full time super league teams play four part time championship clubs for promotion to super league

| But it is four struggling SL teams against four Championship teams in good form which should level it to some extent.

953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| Top Champ clubs will have greater funding to allow more full time players. Or at least that is the plan. No funding details out I don't think. However its bound to be substantially more than the 70k champ clubs get now.

| I love the idea...more interesting fixtures and the challenge of tougher opposition.

| As as lenaghan and his cronies don't try and take all the 2.4 million freed up by two clubs being relegated this year then we should be quids in

But who is even going to be in this third tier...need some extra teams fast!'"
Currently 37 in three tiers how many more were you looking for?

| why shouldn't the teams that generate the most money and attendance get paid more? As it stands there isn't enough money to go around so how are they going spread it even further.

Well 34 when Swinton, Bradford and London go pop
No, I had my maths wrong. Having said that it would probably make sense to have two conferences of 10 on a regional basis below the 24 so that you would have more rivalries and less travel...

| Why should any monies coming into the game not be shared more evenly starting with the Community Clubs after all most if not all start playing Rugby at those clubs, that is where the most amount of money be paid instead, If clubs cant generate enough money to stand alone they should learn how to and yes that includes Leigh.

I would happy if super league was cut to 12 and more money was given to BARLA to distribute but its not. Its like saying why should some clubs try so hard to expand the game and grow when others are just happy to receive the money and become quids in.

The problem the game has is we do not have 12 of those clubs you speak of, so if you enforced your criteria you would currently have Leeds, Wigan and Warrington and possibly Hull and Saints, you then have Cats over the water - a SL of 6 would be difficult to promote
What we need to do as a sport is grow the elite and create a pathway to that elite, is this the best way? Its certainly a huge improvement on what we had but I have advocated two Full Time tens since 2002 so I firmly believe in that structure as the platform to create a genuine elite with a second tier to grow from and fall into as circumstances change.
For our club this breathes life into us, and if what has been muted reference funding materialises, we realise we must be full time to hit our goals and those of our sponsors.
2014 looks like being the most important in this clubs history imo

| I am still worried that even though two super league teams will be relegated, the top super league teams will get greedy and expect more of the cash pot.One of there arguments was that they did not agree to championship teams getting more of a share,so how do they expect them to be competitive.I do not want to see the same thing happening again when we had promotion and relegation where the relegated team had an unfair advantage.

| Funding arrangements are announced next week I think. But 2.4 million is the share of the 2 relegated clubs. Some I reckon will go to them in the form of a parachute payment. As for the rest who knows.
