Batley first game of the season immediately springs to mind. Plenty of times we were struggling but immediately stepped up once RHP was brought on from the bench. Not entirely sure what you're trying to gain from this to be quite honest, he doesn't even play for us anymore FFS and your point isn't exactly relevant when we don't have any non-UK players in the squad this season!

Plus Leigh Centurions was mentioned nearly every week on the SL show. RHP was worth the price we paid and was a great piece of marketing.

Ryan Brierley for eg isn't just quick he covered all Wigan's kick throughs. One special talent this lad and very exciting to watch.

I suppose if we wanted to be ultra 'picky' (and no problem with his contribution on the pitch)..........but Gallagher could probably shed a pound or two!!

Chris is at w!g@n and training with their 18's, not sure if he'll play ahead of their own lads but he's been to a few sessions already!

Matty Russell is still only 18, he was the best teenager on show last night.

He's from Norley Hall Estate, Pemberton, Wigan.

Considering the amount of hype around him I was slightly underwhelmed by Russell last night. Not doubting he's an amazing talent and from what I keep hearing probably the best of all the youngsters on show but last night he only ever seemed to run sideways. Never really caused us any problems and when young Jonny Pownall broke the line he went round Russell without a finger laid on him, it was only Mellor tracking back that stopped the try.

On the subject of Criticism,the food in the Goose may be cheap, but is very bland , and tasteless , and thats being kind to them .
