How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?:icons077e_files/4864-863FALH-msnicons.jpg

Never said owt about Easter Monday, I expect a much sterner test. Just think of Leigh's performance in the pack then remember we've got Bibey to come back and Hunter-Paul around the field.

However Matt, if it's true what he says, it's a big ask to play Barrow and Featherstone inside three days, when they haven't played on the Friday. Sounds like a nifty bit of fixture re-arranging on the part of Sheffield and Featherstone, if true!

Barrow also have their blank weekend this week, before they play us - although in their case, a game may have done them more good!

Again, it's Halifax's blank weekend, the week before we play them on SKY, having played at York, just four days' previously!

No fixture arranging from Rovers i dont think Bramall Lane available good friday so they re-arranged the game for cup final weekend, Rovers wernt going to say no were they. What comes round goes around i always think, enjoyed himself tonight did old Mick Nanyn waving his arms around after scoring and running 20 points in fair play to him. Lets see what hes like playing a fresh Rovers with players back after he has had a hard game 3 days before

1940

Was hoping for about 2500, but not to be unfortunately. If we keep playing like that crowds will soon be up. Mcilvaray was my MOM. Outstanding last night.

that's not too bad considering it was on the telly plus the football etc

thought the lads played well against a poor Fev - the old adage,'you can only play what's in front of you' etc
a bit concerned to see the reaction of DP when the camera was on him for his reactions during the game - it's as though he wasn't really bothered about the performance or the lack of fight of Fev etc ? If it was IMs team getting beaten like that he would have been banging the desk and effing & blinding etc

Great result last night thought everyone had a superb game but thought the attendance was pretty poor i'm sure the weather and it being on sy probably added to that and hopefully the performance will get a few more out of the wood work!

I though Taylor should have got MOM his defence was as awesome as ever but he ran in an awful lot of ball last night aswell!

She carries on through it all...... She's a Waterfall:

I thought given the appalling situation the players taking the field found themselves in - they did ok!
5 first choices players out through injury/suspension, then losing Bstock to illness on the way over the hills, losing both centres immediately after kick off (yes I know Welham lasted half an hour, but in reality was playing on one leg), and Williams copping a deaf un to his leg! Given that scenario I was expecting a 50-60 point towelling. The onslaught never really happened.
We just didn't have the artillery to break out of the trenches.

Daryl's thoughts are more in line with what the physio room is looking like rather than the perception of lack of effort. He knows his players - well. They are not a team to slack off! They are a team under a great deal of unavoidable pressure at the moment - that's what he's worried about!

Like I said, not the first time I've seen Fev lose - it won't be the last! This time last year I wasn't making predictions of world domination and that we'd "smash teams to bits"!
This year, I'm not making any predictions for armageddon either!!

I dont know if this was repeated at other turnstyles last night but as 7.30 was approaching there were 100+ at my turnstyle with the scanners playing up they just stopped scanning and let everyone in after visually checking tickets

Crowd was lower than I hoped but over 2000 imho

Any win against a top team is a great result. Especially stopping them getting a bonus point. This was clearly a very poor, depleted Fev though and we should have had them dead and buried by half time. Instead there were long periods in the game where we seemed to lose interest and concentration and although the result never really looked in doubt, we made hard work of it. We were much better with Hill and Mills on the field, but still no invention. We still don't have a clue when we are in their 20m area. There was one point in the second half where 5 of our players were stood still under their posts passing the ball around like it was a training exercise. No one actually knew what to do with it. We have a much better squad than last season IMHO but, could do better would be my summary of last night.

That's technology for you Neil. I think that the attendance is actually based on 'clicks' of the turnstile though - although could be wrong on that.

Didn't mean to suggest Rovers are to blame - in the bad old days, the RFL used to ask clubs who ground-shared, when their ground was unavailable. The idea was that fixtures could be "planned" (!) accordingly, but the RFL never used to take much notice of what the clubs told them, anyway! On more than one occasion Leigh have played an Easter fixture, AFTER the football game - i.e. on the same day!

In passing, I thought all clubs, except Skolars, were banned from playing on Cup Final weekend? And finally, what's going to happen to the fixture when Fev get to Wembley? icon_wink.gif
