Blackpool will obviously be short priced favourites to come straight back down but they will get a massive financial boost which can only improve their capability to do it again.

of the 42 soon to be 43 teams that have played in the Premier League years
the term small town club also applies to Oldham, Swindon, Barnsley, Burnley, Blackburn to name a few.

Blackpool has a population of 142,900. Not including other parts of the Fylde Coast.
whereas Leigh has a population of 43,000.

If you wish to pontificate/procrastinate that much, some in rugby league would refer to Leigh as a small town club, which dont help a Super Dooper league Application.

as for the quality of the ground, please do not be hypocritical about baby changing facilities.
We may have LSV now, but what about the facilities at HP before 2 seasons ago, open air gents toilets and the rest..............

Bloomfield Road was awful many years ago,


I know we will (as Bpool FC will be relegated from the premier league, and hopefully without the lowest points/goals scored record to boot) and be in a good finanicial situation, and do not follow the models of Swindon, Bradford City, Barnsley, Oldham, who got relegated several times and went belly up too, you could say Hull City potentially, let alone Leeds...........

Revenue and Customs was it not or am I wrong, football team going bust and resurrecting themselves in due to club failing to get a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) passed resurrecting your towns football team as FC Halifax Town in the Unibond League One.
stadium took ages/eons to rebuild
In August 2006 Halifax RLFC was on the verge of going bust. The club announced that it needed to raise £90,000 otherwise it would go into liquidation. Rugby league fans nationwide rallied behind 'Fax', and through visits to the ground, during home fixtures, and other fund-raising events, were able to raise £55,000. Former Chairman Howard Posner then came forward and announced that he would loan the club the remaining £35,000 in order to keep Halifax RLFC alive.
Oh the days of speedway at the Shay, were far better..........

Alex's Dad was NOT repeat NOT having a go at either Blackpool FC or the facilities at Bloomfield Rd.!!!

It was a tongue in cheek dig at the lamentable differences between the management of a clubs ambitions in Football and Rugby League. Football has promotion and relegation...a system based on a clubs on-field activities (you know - the stuff that actually matters!! The reason you go watching the game in the first place!!) and that has served them fine for about 120 years!!
We in rugby league don't like to stay in one place too long, so we f*ck about with the format on a regular basis!! (one division, two divisions, 3 divisions, regional divisions, etc. League Championships, Premierships, play-offs, grand finals, etc etc, name changes, rule changes, Fekkin' all-sorts!!)....and for the first 113 years of the sport in this country it kinda made sense, because a club's ambition was only ever curtailed by its lack of playing skill, or financial clout. These days though!! Well, its all 'location, location' that dictates if you get to progress!! Where are you based? What are your facilities like? What are your crowds like? What is your youth set-up like? And what happens is, you are awarded a score in each of these criteria - and the 12,14,16 (your guess is as good as mine!!) best 'scoring' clubs get to play in the premier competition for the next 3 years........unless, of course, they do not match the 'secret x factor' criteria, as laid down by SKY.... To avoid any 'confusion' the scoring remains a secret, and everyone signs an agreement to say they won't question the scoring....just so everything is above board!!

So - again in plain English - no one, repeat no one, is having a go at Blackpool F.C!!!!!!
