I don't agree with morty bein the best we have....think he is well over rated but never mind!! think ther alot of talent in our team that isnt bein managed right. We can see the team just arnt bonding cz its one man rugby.....get a new coach in...n lets get back on track!!!
Well Mort looked like the only guy who was gonna do any damage against Barrow, and only guy who made yards with the ball apart from McConnell.

| Not a shock result for me.
How Toulouse had performed thus far was the shock.
They'll be at the top of this daft league of which there is no doubt.
What isn't acceptable is a lack off effort from the players.
The French club was never getting a penny of my hard earned but I do feel for those who put faith in the players and spent a small fortune to see them roll over.

Points well made.
Can't speak for lack of effort... I'd hate to think that's the case.

| The French for me were good value , well drilled with some good running and passing , i felt that when they got close to the line they were going to score , running onto the ball at an angle cut out passed and a bit of speed , i think most defenses would have struggled but what got me was we didn't offer anything in return . In the past we have played the nervy " whatever you score we will score more " type of game but most of the time we didn't look like we would ge out of our own half , WHY????????????????????

Entitled to your opinion but the fact he scores almost every game is evidence of "damage".
As a full back beating the first man is always a good marker as well and he does that quite a lot also.
Defensively I'd say Donlan is better for sure and Stuart isn't a centre thats for sure.

I will no doubt get slated for this but Watson it dire, slow, Readable, crap kicking game. Marsh so slow its unbeliveable he is never a stand off. Ridyard sorry i think hes had his chance and just isn't good enough.

Been saying that all season but several on here know better
Now the truth is, apart from those several on here who sing his praises I know of no one else who thinks the same. I speak with MANY fans who ALL say he is too slow in everything he does on attack (ok he defends but a scrum half should be causing problems in the opponents defence). To add backing to my view I could give you several names of past players who agree with my opinion (incl. one - probably the best ever scrum half in the world, one - an ex GB halfback, one - an ex GB prop) who all say he is bobbins (or words to that effect ). I think these guys are pretty good judges. Before anyone says "who else have we got", I know, it is NOW a problem but why did we re-sign him?
Why have we gone worse each season and why are we paying off coaches to be replaced by others who produce worse results - Are we now better for sacking Darren Shaw Financially & performances I would say a big NO!
I think someone needs to make some big decisions pretty quick before it's too late. How come teams like Batley, Sheffield, Doncaster etc with home support of 400 'ish, put together a half decent team that competes with us who have 1800'ish home fans. (Don't say it's because of LSV rent because this scenario has happened regularly over the last few years). They all don't have backers with ££££££'s to spare i'm sure.

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

Which is why there's no point in calling for NK's head.

You've got the answer to our problems then, play Durbin instead of Watson and our troubles are over! you don't think are backs are bad?

| Skybet puts now Toulouse in third place to win the Championship grand final behind Halifax and Widnes. There is no shame losing to them away in France. Leigh is a great team and I am sure they will do very well in the rest of the competition.

| You guys don't realise that Toulouse had several former Super League and international players in there:
Eric Anselme (13 - loose) Leeds Rhinos and France
Matthieu Griffi (8 - prop) Catalans and France
Sebastien Planas (4 - centre) France
Olivier Pramil (16 - prop) Hull KR (NL1) and France
Sylvain Houles - London Broncos and Wakefield
They had no preseason preparation (the friendlies were called off because of bad weather). So they are now just starting their season in terms of form.
They are certainties to make the playoffs and they will thump a lot of fancied sides at home. So no disgrace to Leigh.

They are undoubtedly a good side with good players, who are just beginning to gel. What disappointed us, was the apparent lack of commitment and a serious lack of skill/class, shown by our team.
Oh, and by the way, if SL experience is a yardstick, I think eight of yesterday's Leigh team have had SL experience! The difference being - there are former SL players, and good former SL players!

| Totally agree, Alice's Phallus. Can understand Leigh fans being upset by the performance yesterday, but all the talk of possible relegation etc is not realistic, based on your matches so far. I know you are disappointed with your style of play at the moment and I can understand that. However, I think you are being far too generous in your estimation of other teams. As I have posted previously on here, you have now played all the so called top teams, except for Fax. Be honest, until yesterday, did any of them look much better than you? They did not. Toulouse look a very very good side at this level. Any supporters of other clubs who are feeling smug about this result are also going to get one hell of a shock when they go to Toulouse. IMO , so far this season, clubs such as Fev, Widnes, Haven have been playing a very similar style to you. They do not look any better than you and that is why you beat two of them. All the wins you have had so far have not been flukes. In general in rugby, the best team does win on the day. For the first time this season, you have been thumped and though not good for your fans to see, plenty of other fans will now suffer the same fate against Toulouse. A lot of teams in this league do not seem capable of playing a brand of rugby like Toulouse did yesterday, so far this season. Do not imagine that all the other teams are much better than you. They are not. It will be a tight league. Lots of teams will take points off each other.
