Burns has never played in the Championship though,I'm ready to give anyone a chance, the same as Ben Evans.Travis was a star man when he played for HKR, which is why Saints paid a fee for him.
I'm not knocking Riddy either, but if Martin is injured you have to make alternative plans.Derek has shown he means business this time around, a trio of Drinkwater, Reynolds, and Burns gives us plenty of options, I for one can't wait, bring it on.

| Well I haven't seen him play so will comment when I have.
According to Jukesy the lad isn't fit to play yet and is as near to fitness as Greg McNally.

| According to the papers the contract is there...along with one from Toronto. You have to decide whether loyalty will get us promoted or being ruthless will.

| I'm reading the loan signing of Burns as a confirmation that Riddy is getting groin surgery and will be out for at least the 4 weeks suggested by Neil Jukes, with a couple more weeks to get fully game fit. The loan part also makes me believe that Burns is being given the opportunity to either prove he still has the desire (he certainly has the ability) or not. Smart move by the club in my opinion. Get Riddy 100% for the middle 8's and give us experience and options in the meantime, and lots of cover for injuries come the business end.
I really hope Riddy stays (if the Toronto rumours are even true) as I believe he still has more to offer and has shown true commitment in his time here so far.

You mean Burns?
He has been named in our 19 man squad for Saturday.

| Ridy for me is quality. When fit he'd me in my team every week. However clearly currently he is injured, so unlike last year were we had little to no cover, this year we've been far wiser and gone and got some cover. In burns and drinkwater, a big well done to degsy and jukes.

| Riddy has played continuously for quite a few years now and IMO opinion a little rest at the moment wont do him any harm either dropped or injured. I feel bringing in better quality players as long as they are quality off the pitch as well will only add to Leigh in a positive way.

| Wouldn't be surprised if Ridy has been offered a contract by Toronto. However I would be surprised if he took it before knowing what league we're in next season. He's an excellent organisational player & we've always looked half the team without him playing. However he's not the quickest player, not sure if he has the pace to play Super League. Hopefully Reynolds can pick up some of his organisational role, he's always involved in everything & moves about the field a lot.
If we don't win promotion I'd really want Ridy to stay, he's an outstanding half back at this level, however if we do go up do think there'd have to be a serious conversation about how much game time he'd get & if his career might be better served by moving on.

| Martyn is a 100% Leyther, he would only leave us if he was released from his contract, which ain't gonna happen !

| Make no mistake, Ridyard is a class act and is worth to the Leigh side is without question. He is a player I rate very highly indeed.
If I have a slight grumble then IMO alone, he may be carrying one or two extra pound at this stage but his brain is still as sharp as ever.
The bottom line is I would rather have young Riddy in our camp than lining up in the oppositon's side.
Over to Riddy

I doubt should we get promoted both Ben and Riddy will play a part in that.Yes if still in Championship. The bar has obviously been set with the likes of Drinkwater and Burns in.That's the level required, let's not kid ourselves. There's no room for sentiment.
