| I did too. But my trusty phone and Virgins TV Anywhere let me tell my tv box to record it at five past 2. Just finished watching it.

| Living in Warrington I will no doubt come across a few Wire fans. Here are the words from the first one I came across this morning.
"It'll be a blood bath, we effing hate Leigh" I told he would hate us even more when Higham signs for us in the very near future. He had no response?

| Well I did say it could have been a case of two good attacks V two poor defences, get within 10 m of either tryline & you looked like going over. No idea what happened 1st half though, if those errors against lower Championship teams end up being dealt with where as Wakefield were 30 m down the pitch or if we were so determined to keep our usual style of play (which we did & should have) we tried too hard with it. Either way, wasn't worried as I knew we could come out and play like we did. The 2nd half was incredible, if we'd have played like that for the full 80 we'd have absolutely trounced Wakefield. Ryan & Bob were absolutely outstanding. Bring on Warrington, would have quite liked them at the LSV, away well at least we don't have to go to Yorkshire for an away game for once.

Salford Red Devils RLFC.
[quote="Gotcha":y7izhg01]Salford won't win Super League in my lifetime. Even saying in jest they would sounds stupid.[/quote:y7izhg01]: |

| After the Salford game, I still wasn’t convinced by what I saw from Leigh. Obviously we had the injuries and suspensions, as well as BJB’s ridiculous offload into Ryan Brierley’ arms to gift you the win.
The first 40 of yesterday’s game had me thinking much of the same, 24 game undefeated Championship team struggling 24-6 down against arguably the worst team in Super League this season. You seemed shook up by the speed of Wakefield’s defensive line, which caused countless errors from Leigh.
HOWEVER that second 40 was fantastic. Sure you can point at Wakefield failing into a false sense of security thinking the game was done, but some of Leighs attack was absolutely brilliant to watch as a neutral. Martin Ridyard was superb too, his kicking game is something else. Also very impressed with Hopkins who worked his absolute socks off in attack.
That second half performance has definitely made me excited for the middle 8’s as before yesterday, I honestly thought Wakefield would comfortably beat you. Also Batley and Featherstone put in two big efforts too – it’s all building nicely towards the end of the season.
Anyway, well done your support was fantastic yesterday too and I am sure you'll enjoy Warrington.

Agreed our first 40 yesterday was very poor ,but our completion rate was 37%,our possession was even less, and we were penalised around 2 to 1,we couldn't score with no ball or territorial position, the second d half a joy to watch, Riddy and Ryan shear magic, as you say Sam Hopkins had a good game.

| This is first chance I have had to post on here. I have never seen so many happy Leythers all at once!!!
I was there (I even got on tele' about 5 times) and by the end I was knackered. I was also covered in ale, too, and I don't even drink!
Well worth it though!

| What a atmosphere in that shed on the West stand in the second half!
One of those 'do you remember when we played Wakefied in the cup' moments that people will remember for years to come.
1st half we tried to force the pass and in all honesty you can't gift that possession away, the other factor was Wakefield played some good stuff with the possession they gained and didn't look like a team who had lost so many on the bounce.
2nd Half we upped the tempo and played the kind of RL that gets people interested in the sport again, thought Brierleys chalk off try for offside was incredibly tight (especially if you looked at it in line) but realistically what a fantastic effort especially when you factor that Hock and Acton got injured so the bench couldn't rotate as well as we'd have liked.
Hopkins put in the best 40 minutes I've ever seen him have in a Leigh shirt but Brierley and Ridyard showed the advantage of a good half back pairing as they controlled the game ably assisted by Bob Beswick who just gets better with each game.
The wingers always looked a threat with Pownall clearly upsetting Wakefield judging by the amount of shots he took and how good was Kays footwork on the wing for Oli's try - a real class move.
In fact everyone did what was required in the second half and I include us, a big vocal backing at 24-6 down was just what the lads needed (and got).
A cracking day out with the Wakefield club very welcoming hosts.
In terms of the cup its now all roads lead to Warrington and what I'd wager will be our biggest away following for many a year but before that its time to renew our usual rivalries starting with a tough mouth watering game v Fev in Blackpool.
Can't wait!

| Quote: mish "I was totally embarrassed by that first half performance; I thought our lads looked like part timers who were totally out of their depth, however......that second half was amazing. They played like we all know they can play and totally outclassed Wakey. This team never fails to impress me - their will to win and never-give-up attitude is breathtaking at times.
Take a bow Leigh Centurions.
Almost entirely my view also, I posted a similar thing on a none Rugby forum earlier.
I watched the match at home after my 11 hour late shift & didn't get to bed until 2.40 a.m.
I wanted to shout at & punch the TV, but the missus & 3 year old wouldn't have been happy.
2nd half was the polar opposite, could have raised the roof in sheer joy at the fantastic skill & speed of play the Centurions showed, they just could not live with us & crumbled.
Having had a look on the Wakefield boards today, I have to say I feel for them, they seem a good bunch & are as passionate about Wakey as we are about Leigh, they are really suffering & not just because of the CC result either. Hope their Club can turn the ship around.
Well done to all Leigh fans who travelled too, outnumbered & out sang the home fans.
Best support in Rugby Land.
