| You have to love the confidence of the team, we will attack from anywhere and against lesser teams we would have gone the length of the field.
We are playing the best rugby I have ever seen, including the 80-84 era. Its a privilege to watch it

| What is remarkable in this win is the fact Wigan, had six England players on the pitch and they have played recently in the tri nations so they were not as 'rusty' as leigh! Could we have beaten a team including six of the Australian Test Team? I think not!

| We should test Castleford's commitment to Ben Reynolds by offering him a three year deal now, this lad is going to be an international and outstanding player, to produce a performance, on debut, against last season's Grand Finalist and the team tipped to do well this season was, sensational!
I know its reported Cas have first chance to offer him a 2016 contract however, he is our player so make the offer now! we don't owe Cas owt they didn't hesitate to offer Millward a contract halfway through our season did they!

| I'm not getting carried away with yesterday's result as I'm sure PL won't , Wigan lacked so much leadership , and created nothing from the amount of possession they had in the second half.We tackled very well , and our centres of Worthington and Armstrong look to have a good season ahead of them, I was impressed with Reynolds a decent our Pack bossed the Wigan pack, but I would be worried for the Coming season if I was a Wigan fan, they need a 6 and fast.
,Still a quality win by the Leythers I can't wait for the season to start, happy days, Charlie knows.

| VERY impressed with Reynolds and Worthington. For a converted half back to score three tries opposite one of the best wingers in Super League is summat else though, well done Liam Kay.

This lad is a talent and one that came to the attention of the coaching staff whilst playing very well against our 20s last year for York.
A few months ago I was questioned on here when I contributed to a thread about the strongest 17 and included Ben ahead of Greg. This wasn't a reflection on Greg more a reflection of how highly I rate BR.
Id only really seen him play at FB but on yesterdays showing Greg looked big and strong and assured at the back and Ben played really well in the halves so he will now push Riddy and Ryan for those half back positions hard by the looks of things.
Great competition for places and the depth we lacked last year.

Charlie dont get sucked in to thinking the Wigan lads were poor; instead they just wont face many equivalent talents in SL next year. George Willams will be one of the best stand offs in SL next season, a hugely talented lad. However what he wont have is Slammin Sam Barlow charging at him 3 in from the toucline and knocking him into next week.
Our edge defence was as good as it gets yesterday, absolutely emmense.
This is going to be one hell of a season and i have my pray mat out that we get a Super Dooper league team at home in the Challenge Cup, nobody will want to draw us away. I pray that the team is the current holders, now revenge would be sweet....
Enjoy the time, Leythers this is our time !!

Exactly what myself and my owd pal Arthur were discussing as we left the ground.
A performance from a half back that looks like he has the ability to move us round the park. Something I have to say has worried me in the past whenever young Ridders is not in the team. Boy do we rely heavilly on Ridyard so it is reassuring to have a player who can now help to share the burden.

Ste believe me I'm not getting sacked into thinking anything , Wigan had a great amount of possession in the 2nd half and scored a good try when they ran at our line , we looked comfy defending one on one which is good , our attack didn't have many chances in the 2nd half, I know for a fact Shawn Wane was a very unhappy man after the game, I spoke to Lee Moss op this morning at the gym , he said Waney ordered the Team to get straight on the bus home

Hi Charlie,
Thats because Wane is an arrogant pr1ck, whos bully boy tactics have delivered Wigan 2 trophies in his 3 year reign, mainly due to having the best player in the league by a mile in Sam Tomkins. His tactics cost Wigan everything last year and i look forward to him winning nothing in 2015.
They ran at our line all day though mate and scored 3 tries, one a middle break from half way, a kick to the corner and a slick passing move to the right in the first half.
Not that it will ever happen but if our coach was their head coach theyd win the league

| I took Dylan to the game and he was so chuffed because he got a wave and smile from Fui and saw JP , even from the disabled gantry, i found myself sitting next to Ben's sister and i can tell you he is a well supported lad
I thought Wigans handling was awful at times and that cost them the game, now that could be a result of pressure from us or natural risk when playing "friendlies" (trying people in unfamiliar positions, not quite gelling or up to speed or using fringe players alongside regular 1st teamers). Some people have said Fui didn't break a tackle , but did you see how many bodies he attracted when he received the ball, so when he gets the ball out in a tackle you can imagine the gaps in opposition defense all in all i thought it was a terrific performance against high quality opposition that 3/4 through the 2nd half was still to close to call but we played the full 80 mins and got our rewards. I thought Kay was deffo the MOM and closely followed by ben who had an outstanding debut, boy did our team look well drilled

| Thought we played really well in the first 40mins, strong , confident and self assured and you'd have struggled to tell it was pre season.
Moimoi was attracting 4 players yesterday and I suspect he's nowhere near as fit as he'd want to be yet.
Thought all our forwards 'looked the part' and I think it will be a good team that bosses them this season.
2nd half we threw out some daft passes / poor options and constantly gifted possession, luckily Wigan also showed how rusty they are as well and thus didn't punish our mistakes.
Lots for Rowley and the team to improve on but for large parts of the game we looked a very good team.
A very enjoyable afternoon out.

| What a great win, by a team who wanted it more and I liked the way Leigh showed no respect to a classy wigan outfit. My motm was Lee Kay and his battle with Charnley made great viewing, a hat trick is no easy feat against an international winger. My 2nd and 3rd choice go to the two players who got us around the park - Reynolds and Beswick. Reynolds sneaking it with a brilliant display of kicking, how many back to back sets did we have from his skill? Leigh still need to improve on the first 30 mins of 2nd half were the sets were not completed and first tackle mistakes made playing the game in the wrong area when it comes to territory. The other thing that frustrates me is the lack of discipline, I dont like to see a Leigh player patting an oppositions players head when he's made a mistake. Only causes aggro and a potential penalty against Leigh - a need to be more professional.
