Well swear words at matches do not bother me. All I am doing is keeping my word with people who asked me to post it.

We seem to be getting a recurring theme here frank , just like your good self I also like a beer or three before and during a match , however it seems that some are arriving earlier and earlier , perhaps drinking more and more , and then when maybe the match gets a bit ' boring ' possibly because of our relative success , they turn there vocal support towards the home fans rather than just supporting our team , this then usually results in insults being thrown back and the level of ' abuse ' increasing to the point where it upsets people or shall we say becomes ' personal '

It is not what we want

I was right where the stewards came into the crowd and whilst also pointing out that the chuckle brothers were swaering as well, I then tried to get our lads doing the chanting to tone it down a bit so that we didn't tarnish our reputation further. All took it on board apart from one individual who was clearly leathered who started giving me a load of stick. Fair do's to his mates though they did try to calm him down.

he wasn't training on Thursday either

Probably didn't need him? This Thursday however..........

I'm hoping after that they were told to just win this game then focus on Thursday. I think once we scored those 1st few trys they decided they'd done enough to win it and just sat back but York once they started scoring they gained confidence and upped their game. York played well towards the end and we played badly, I'm hoping it's because we were just doing enough to win to be fresh for Thursday as if not that might not be good enough against Halifax.

I don't think 'Basil' is the type of character who would say or even think 'just win this game and concentrate on Thursday' but thats what I hope happened, if one reads posts on Twitter it would appear he wasn't too happy as he imposed certain restrictions on the after match celebrations he only usually does when they lose.
I would like to think that the players were a little complacent and that certain things re team selection and tactics were tried in a match situation that didn't quite work out, then again like players and the coaching staff have said the longer you go unbeaten the larger the monkey gets on the back.

I think he speaks to Basil on Tuesdays Ian, iif I remember I will ask Basil myself when he comes for his DVD and pen drive of the game in the morning - he'll be the death of me people who know me know I don't do mornings though thinking about it (I often do it's an age thing ) he won't know as the players won't see the physio until the evening.

Like I thought it's training tonight so he won't know the injury situation properly until then.
