I have to say that our fans are angels now compared to what I had to listen to at the Wire vs Wigan game last week.

Not really. Just seems as though people are willing to tolerate it, saying 'oh well they're drunk.' I know it happens at probably every club, football and rugby. The thing is though, it shouldn't and there should be a proper way to report such behaviour. It's embarrassing and despicable.

The match report on the Batley website makes it clear who were the better team on the day and that will do me. Re his comments about the ref I would agree with some but not others for eg I think the player who dumped JT on his head should have been binned at least. Maybe Ganson didn't see it.

He gave penalties to Batley I didn't like and when he gave penalties in the the Batley sides favour I bet their fans approved of those. Thats what being a fan does to us.

Whatever anyone who is interested can make their own mind up by watching the game on Blip.tv. Shame we could not have the always unbiased commentary of Dave and Si but wotsit happens sometimes.

I wasn't excusing it i was just giving the reason why it happens.

IN the first half behind the sticks at the open end i heard a few chants i was uncomfortable with but in the second half when we changed ends i was on the edge of the stand so i heard nothing.

was it THAT bad? i couldnt make out what was being shouted most of the time.

So, what was being shouted or sung that was so bad?

I was stood on the open terrace in the first half and under the covered terrace in the second and don't recall hearing anything overly outrageous.
