Which is why I believe that the focus of Leigh Centurions should not be on trying to produce elite RL players , unless you are an ' elite ' club , you don't need them

To become an elite club is essentially down to finances , and primarily Leigh Centurions will only ever be a sustainable elite club if they can increase their support base to elite club levels , that should be the focus , possibly even before the club player roster

There was a hint of sarcasm in my comments to be honest, ATEOTD it's their choice. As I see it there are about 15 full time clubs, the rest are part time and it's up to the PT players to do what's best for them - doubt many PT clubs will be offering more that has been suggested above

Thank You Col,I have spent a few weeks down south away from the forum.

Upon quickly catching up, I must say Montyburns appears to have heard the same names as I for next year.

Another player with us for next year will be young Dan Abram, son of ex Leigh coach Darren.

However we have tried and I think ultimately failed to secure young Josh Woods off Wigan on a season long loan.

Disappointing as the lad is not only a huge Leigh fan but a great talent.

That's a shame about Josh Woods, but he must be close to first team squad status

Based on Montys comments we are a long way short of a squad TBH, hopefully everything will piece together very quickly- preseason needs to get going ASAP or we are gong to be well struggling from the off

I think I may have been a little hasty declaring the Josh Woods deal had fallen through. We may just have secured him after all on a 1 year loan deal.

That would have to be viewed as an outstanding bit of business at this stage.

Once the dust has settled, I believe we wont have a bad little side.

We need another six or so though to solidify the squad.

If there was a bonus thrown in for making the final then maybe that's how well get their signatures

If we had gone back to win lose money and bonuses for winning last season who knows what would have happened

We wasted a lot of money and I'm sure we've learned from it if it was my money that went down the pan I'd be gutted and wouldn't be making the same mistakes again

Lets hope mistakes have been learned
