Sky and the franchise system will kill our game. I have said it from day one.

Don't like the Thursday night matches so won't miss those and if it means having to pay extra for another package I won't be doing that either ,pay enough as it is ,think Fred will be getting more orders if it happens

I must be in a pretty small minority who isn't just getting used to the Thursday games, but quite enjoying having them and still leaving the weekend free.

Cancel Sky sports etc and get this new channel - simples and £40 better off.

It could be a good thing if it is shown on Premier Sports. You never know they may start to sponsor The Championship. I will certainly cancel my Sky Sports and get Premier Sports.

Be good if they helped us to break away from Sooper Dooper League and SKY. I can dream , because SKY and RFL are intentionally killing our teams off.

I'll miss thursday night rugby as I enjoy watching the championship/s & seeing how our competition are doing too this league is so entertaining I can't understand why SLY wouldn't want to have this excellent brand of rugby which probably costs peanuts compared to paying for SL Like has been said it may help bring club attendances up & boost income some what so every cloud as they say.

I currently pay £7.99 for Premier Sports, they provide excellent coverage of the NRL , so no reason why they would n`t provide the same coverage of the Championships if they got it.

Will be a completely different kettle of fish, as I would imagine they use Channel 9's coverage for the NRL games rather than doing any of the production themselves (think the broadcasting trucks outside the stadium for Sky games etc).

Seems you don't need to be a Sky customer either - all you need is the sky box and dish and they will send you a card. For me (who thinks Sky is a waste of money) this is perfect, even if for just NRL but Championship games would be a excellent bonus. A big IF, but if they did get the games I hope they have 8pm KO instead of 7:30pm.

premier sports is available on freeview and I think satview as well with a subscription of course, as for espn they do not produce anything its ch 9 broadcast

IF Sky are going to drop the Championship from their schedule - and I don't think anything concrete has been published on here to prove that - you can bet your bottom dollar that they will still retain the rights to broadcast Championship matches, and deprive anyone else of having the opportunity!

...and we mustn't forget to thank Messrs Lewis and Wood for the frugal way they run our game, not forgetting the best travel deals for all the Championship sides to travel to and from France for a now proven waste of time.
