Personally they've been shafted by the RFL even more than us during the SL era so good luck to them getting back in. I just hope we win one of the competitions allowing us to make our application because I do feel we're heading in the right direction.

Many SL clubs seem to be struggling to make ends meet and aren't getting their grounds up to scratch so maybe both of us will stand a chance? Who knows?

Alternatively the fact that clubs are still even considering a f'ranchise process' after last years disgrace (and events since) shows just how crazy this "sport" is.

If the Widnes 'Chief' is so adamanet (without speaking to the RFL) then I'm afraid the franchise process will be as fair and well thought out as last time, except for the words Celtic replace them with Widnes.

The sooner RL starts being a sport again the sooner the game can get back to attracting fans again.

i'll stick to what i,ve said before.widnes are nailed on for next time and there will be no relegation.i'll wait a while longer before i make a guess about another team going up with them.

Cannot imagine the RFL will keep paying for Toulouses travel & accomodation expenses without the thought they may see a return on that investment.

If we are talking about "box ticking" as being the best thing to come out of a NRC win (as the RFL did in its press release when Widnes beat Barrow) and we are talking about clubs progressing up a division into the elite league based on Stadia and richness of the chairmen rather than skill and guile of players exciting the fans then I'm afraid your not talking about sport to me.
Business , yes, Sport - definatly no.

As for Australia, they don't do bad, however they're nearest rivals New Zealand don't do too bad either, and they only have 1 club in a elite league.
