Can I complain I was called a dog by a lady in gateshead who also appeared to be giving me some stick about my spectacles she said "Why eye pet" - well MY PET is a dog.

(In my defence at the Old Bailey I will testify that I mistakenly thought the referee was an expert with pancakes, hence my 't0sser' remark)

Sadly I couldnt make it on Sunday so I cannot comment on any of the events but I do have 2 young sons aged 6 + 8, my husband and I do not swear in front of them and in a perfect world I would prefer nobody else did, so I can understand a little how the parent feels but this is real life and to get this upset over it does seem a little extreme.

My sons are well balanced enough to know that sometimes other people do swear, especially at rugby , in the heat of the moment ect and that "bad" words are not to be repeated, they fully understand this.

One of my neighbours swears quite a lot in normal conversation, he does try to refrain when my boys are around but when he does slip up my boys manage to fine him for his slip-ups, they earn quite a bit too

I do however get angry when the professional sportsmen on the pitch swear or use vulgar hand signals as per the Toulouse player the previous week right in front of me as my children admire and look up to the players
