Well at the minute I’m not sure we would be favourites for the Championship if we were still in it with the way Fev & Toulouse are recruiting.

Unless there’s signings that aren’t announced yet I’d be disappointed to head into the most important SL season in years with the current squad.

I hope we aren’t banking on Barba getting a Visa on some technicality.

Totally agree Binosh, The club should be going all out to encourage fans with news flow of quality signings ahead of such an important season.

If the club are expecting 6000 plus crowds and a fortress LSV they need to give the fans something positive to hang on to.

I'm sure they are going all out to sign the best they can, but until any contract is finalized, we'll just have to be patient until then i'm afraid.

Encourage fans all they want but who apart from the totally loyal would commit to a ST - no sign yet of any crowds being allowed in let alone 6,000. Especially with the caveat that there will be no refunds should there be no crowds.

We could also be in lockdown until July 17th.

Are you suggesting that until/unless crowds are allowed, we go with the current squad? The other Super League clubs who have made significant signings seem to be taking a different view.

Would it be fair to say that the club is likely to be in the midst of bringing more players in? Also, it would be respectful to be a little desisting at this delicate time, with the recent sad passing of AP.

Don’t think anyone is suggesting that at all, other SL clubs are in a position whereby they have an extra 9 months or so to plan their signings - we were always going to be in the back foot, most decent available players would have been touted about and snapped up before they’d heard our name
The club was happy to run £800k in funding behind those teams - I can only imagine DB will fund the shortfall if he finds the right players

I have paid for my ST, but if there are no signings of note and the season is again disrupted I will NOT repeat NOT be donating my fees to the club, I will be claiming them back.

Yes of course we were going to be on the backfoot only finding out we are competeing in SL as late as the 14th December, so what would you expect the clubs priority to be upon being given the nod, perhaps a good start would be to strengthen a squad amassed to compete in the Championship!

It is not as though those that matter to us, those who will be our competition to avoid the 12th spot being Wakefield, Hull KR and Salford they haven't been dormant in signings since we found out we would be playing them for points to stay up is it? They have been very active in signing player's to strengthen squads that would have been no worse than what Leigh have.

I think we are forgetting this is standard Leigh behaviour when it comes to communication.

A flurry of activity over a period of 4 months and then silence for another 3. Like a continental shift pattern.

The season has already been disrupted.We are going to have fewer rounds.
The final start date will be dictated by the World Cup.
RU are already considering scrapping promotion/relegation.SL will have to do the same.
In any circumstances it would be reckless to spend anywhere near £400k on one player or even two.Doubt anyone justifying such money is available anyroad.
In revised circumstance we may be better keeping us money in us pockets.
I suppose you will be giving up any st priority entrance opportunity seeing the club hasnt disclosed any transfer talks to you or even Hull kr Salford Wakefield and Uncle Tom Cobley

Leigh will be at least £750k short of any SL club regarding funding. They would have received £250k remaining in Championship. SL probably around £1.7M per club. Not sure where you get £350k from H? It’s asking a lot to make that shortfall up. Certainly easier for existing SL club chairman to make their shortfall up than Leigh’s.
