| It is certainly one of the worst kits I have ever seen, it is awful. Shouldn't the pvc be PVC?

| I thought I would help the club out my drafting a possible next press release..." I felt it best to respond to the criticism of the new shirt as soon as possible and clear up a few misconceptions and untruths. Firstly, can I say that the entire club feels very strongly that we have 100% achieved what we set out to achieve in the design and production of this new shirt. Anybody can produce a good shirt that the fans want to wear but it takes guts, creativity and sheer bloody-mindedness to come up with a shirt that is so hideous from just about every angle. In fact we may have over-achieved and produced the worst shirt in the club's history, and let me assure you that is saying something. I would also like to categorically deny that when our sponsors saw the shirt they ran a mile and refused to be associated with it - who, after all would not want to feature on a shirt that looks like a tub of raspberry ripple that has faded in the wash? That is why I leapt at putting the logo on the shirt, and while we are on the subject...let me respond to that criticism. With all the money being invested in the club, do you think there is a spare five quid to invest on Fiverr to get a modern looking logo? Besides, as the club is over 100 years old, it makes perfect sense to me to have a logo that was designed in the late Victorian era. And let me also deny the suggestion that the only reason that Brierley would wear the shirt for the photo was because it was written into his contract. The truth of the matter is that the entire squad would have been photographed were it not for the unfortunate and unexpected calendar clash with a pre-arranged manicure, pie and peas event that robbed us of their presence. Further, Ryan did not say the shirt was hangin' - he said it was "hangin' nice", referring of course to the aerodynamic cut of the fabric. Two further points if I may - I can confirm that we expect the shirts to be on sale on December 19 - however they will NOT be on clearance on December 20. We will wait until Boxing Day at least. Finally, a closing word of defiance. If you think the home shirt is bad, wait until you see the away one."

| I don't think it is as bad as some are making out.... but the away kit does need to look seriously smart!

| That's decided it for me.
This Christmas I want the Help for Heroes shirt & not my beloved Leigh Centurions shirt.
Best one ever was 2014's o2 sponsored shirt & the Club should reconsider doing the fan specials next season, where a fee got your name woven in to the fabric.
Why do we not aim higher as a Club & go to the likes of Nike, Adidas & Puma for our kit ?
All of the above can produce some quality & in the latest technical fabrics.
Too many years aiming for budget & low rent where true visionaries aim for the very best, this goes for sponsors too.
While I accept we might only get Joe Mangles Skip Hire or Avacabbie as sponsors & Admiral (insert any other low rent Company here) as kit suppliers, the Club should be selling their product to the very best first.
Do we have a full time marketing & promotions team (or even one person) ???
If not then we should, or employ & outsource to a Professional Company that can achieve greater.

| Absolutely shocking !!!
Why cant they do a one off deal with Adidas and make a shirt identical to the 81-82 one ?? They would absolutely rake it in !!
I hope the away kit is not the same in Blue !!

| The first thing that came to mind when I saw the new shirt was how much it looks very similar to Sheffield's from last season!
Call me old-fashioned, but I'd have the town's crest on every shirt. I'd also have cherry and white hoops, of sorts, on every home shirt.
For me it's about identity and that shirt has no real reasemblance to Leigh rugby league.

| I like it modern design not old school will look superb on the players .
What's the use of having shirts season after season that look similar Centurions are a club moving forward we need to get behind the club and show our support more than ever this season .
If it was up to some folk posting on social media the Centurions would be playing in kit from the 1920s with shorts past their knees and boots with little rounds studs on em and the club shop selling little white hankies for the supporters to wave over their yeds whilst whizzing their Rick racks around LOL

| The club can still move forward with modern kits... whilst also still keeping their tradition, history and identity.
Football clubs manage to do it.
