I watched the draw and wrote them down at the time and Miners are definitely at HOME. The draw had 20 Championship and Champ 1 clubs in one bag, another bag had hoe or away balls in it and the other bag had all the amateur clubs, the Army and Lezignan in it with Toulouse, Dewsbury and Worky in there to even the numbers up.
They drew a ball out of the first bag and then one from the home / away bag and then one from the other bag.
Whitehaven were drawn AWAY to Lezignan but because the French teams can't be at home in this round the tie was reversed. That was the only one that was reversed from the way it was drawn.
Two years on the trot Town have been in that wrong bag!!!!
Oh, the old guy who couldn't see the names on the balls was no other than Billy Thompson, ex-referee. I always said he could only see out of one ey.
