I didn't know there were copyright issues with the old badge, new design then. Maybe do one like Glow suggested and have one 'head on'. I'd personally do a competition for all design students at Wigan and Leigh college and the schools in the area and pick the best 3 and the fans vote on which one they like the best.

Would probably like the new one more if it hadnt been made to look like it was designed by a 5 year old with crayolas.

How about best design gets a family ticket, replica shirt and meets the players to get it signed.

That is certainly a prize to get the entries rolling in.

Anything new/else is gimmicky and sacriledge. TBH I hate the silly new nicknames. They add no value, that's why many Union clubs don't have them (Gloucester, Bath etc)

P.S. What was the clubs first ever logo? Was it the "Play Up Leigh" I've seen on someone else's avatar? Perhaps we could use that?

Thats right Lobby, we don't hear about RU clubs with daft names. Wasps, Harlequins, Saints, Falcons, Sharks, Chiefs or Saracens do we?

.......or Tigers, Dragons, Pirates, Scarlets, Albion, Carnegie, Ospreys, Bees, Irish, Welsh etc.......

Wasps, Harlequins, Saracens are not nicknames - they've always been called only that since the 1800's

Chiefs is the nickname of an NZ club, whilst Saints has always been the additional moniker used for any "Hampton" club in the UK (not sure why)

Falcons and Sharks is I'll give you that - but then again these are much smaller clubs than Leigh Rugby has been and should be
