Quote: mishmash "I have just read through this thread and would like to throw my two 'pennorth worth in.

First I'd just like to say that I've only just joined LISA so don't have any right to comment on how they should or should not spend their money, but....

Personally I think that if LISA have money available then it should be spent on helping to save the club in any way they can. We have a situation here that is not the fault of the current directors but something they've inherited, and are doing their up most to keep the club alive.

The current financial situation is not insurmountable, it's pretty much a cash flow problem and as far as I understand it if they can get a lump sum of cash immediately we will survive. I know that LISA has always used the money in the past to buy players etc, but such is the situation ATM then I think that rather than sitting on the cash and letting the club fold, the money should be offered to help bail them out.

Just my opinion.'"

The current Directors were in that position during and before Arthurs tenure, they received the accounts and knew the situation. If they didn't like what was happening they could have resigned, what they were powerless to do was challenge the way the club was run.The rest I think most LISA members would agree with.
What is confusing me is why no comment when something has hit the public domain, a simple denial or stating the facts would suffice.
I hope this has raised the emotions of fans who love this club and will now be more eager than ever to do their bit to ensure its survival and for it then to become the club we believe it can be.

Can I just add that if LISA do offer money to the club then the fans will truly have helped to save the club. icon_thumb.gif

Was it not stated at the forum that Mr Coffey had tendered his resignation but had agreed to help out and continue???

I dont think pointing fingers will get anyone anywere everyone needs to come together but unless you have put personal monies into the running of the club then certain information will need to stay behind closed doors until a point were it can become common knowledge.

If anyone wants to be party to the figures and running of the club as the two guys have stated they are open to cash investment and new board members. Mo not knowing who you are but reading some of your posts you apear very passionate and knowledgeable have you thought of investing????

Just a question but at what point do we pull the plug and start again as I think Crusaders did at one time?

All Directors tendered their resignations I believe, and I know Keith, Phil and Trevor are working their socks off behind the scenes, but when information like this hits the public domain then it needs a release, quickly.
All Leythers need to be as one now, I was stating facts not pointing fingers.

If LISA has enough money to head them off at the pass and it can be confirmed by the directors that it would definitely stop liquidation or admin, I would personally offer to phone and put the question to every lisa member for the sake of a rapid resolution to what lisa can do with their money in the current situation.

I think its a case of damned if you do and damned if you dont sometimes and the guys must be under intense presure at the moment.

might of got this wrong but
havent the club offered staff and players an offer (as yet to be agreed) if agreed then they can move on to the tax man
if not agreed then another offer must be given before the tax man comes into play so all this takes time icon_confused.gif

thats how i read it icon_cry.gif

In these situations, all creditors have to be treated equally.

Therefore, HMRC would have received the same offer as the players, staff and other creditors.

Agreed.

Now come on Leythers, get signed up to LISA, the season ticket scheme.

This has bought us time to start moving forward, we need a big push from the fans now.

Come on Leigh!!!!

Firstly Thank you Keith for the statement and all the hard work going on behind the scenes, and thank you RFL.
It now looks like its about increasing revenue streams to make our club the best it can be and I look forward to helping us achieve that goal.
