Well, he's been at the club today. Knowing Mark, frank and clear words will have been spoken. Air cleared. Chairman Mao back at helme and any other cliches I can get in!!

I was well unchuffed sunday when the news broke he had walked away - tonight I'm a lot happier!

Good to hear it mate. I'm sure we 'Leythers' will also be a lot happier, in a few days. Wouldn't want anything to distract us from whupping you in the NRC Final - that's if Dewsbury do the decent thing and let us get there!

A weekend in Blackpool eh? I know a couple of decent boozers wi proper ale far enough away from the town centre to avoid the stag/hen do's but near enough to get where I need to!

Now if Fax n Dews just do the decent thing - I'll get thi a jug in on final weekend!!!

Just to get back to the original topic. I sincerely hope Arthur is not stepping down for health reasons.

I think it's his general health and well being Tony not any speciffic 'problem'.
I for one wish him all the health in the world he has done a great job not just in the last few years as chairman but well before that.

I wholeheartedly agree Fred - the one good thing to come from this is that hardly anybody has criticised AT no matter what he ends up doing - I think everyone recognizes the tremendous effort he has made and no-one would begrudge him saying enough is enough...sas though it might be...

I didn't want to post on this as soon as I heard the news, too many conflicting emotions to make sense of what I thought.

The new thread tonight has put my mind at rest to a large extent, but I'll post what I was going to anyway.

The white knight has been to Leigh on his charger. He put the world to rights before moving on again. As a Leyther, regardless of what the future brings, we should be thankful for Arthurs input into the club, and not throw a strop now he has gone.
It's his money, we should be thankful for his largess, and to that extent I'd juts like to say...

Thank you, and now lets look forward to the future.
