| Yes Swinton is next week. Included with your Season Ticket.
The Batley game will be telling, but that said there was a very large travelling contingent from Leigh supporters today. Surprisingly so, I have to say.
Each and everyone of those spectators deserve better than this. Very Sad.

| We were well beaten by a team who were even more 'patched up' than we were. Featherstone played better than we did, and deserved to win. Teams have bad days, especially those in our situation - and Fev's. The way players from both sides are getting injured and put on report, the final could be seven-a-side!
By the way - and I know it didn't influence the result - but what on earth was the ref up to today? There were 31 bewildered and frustrated players out there. He started off by letting Fev players fall asleep on ours, in the tackle. We cottoned on and did the same. The ten yards were down to about three (for both sides) and the result was a pretty boring game!

Yes we do, Harold. But are we entitled to expect it from this particular group? Granted, we should have the beating of fourteen tired players, but sometimes adversity spurs on a team - look at Toulouse, at ours, early in the season!

They got paid last week. You wouldn't have thought so though would you?

Alan ,Leigh were shambolic today, Fev spurred on by adversity and lack of numbers were a bit above average, not a good game all in all, the Ref did his best to help us in the latter stages of the game, I was glad when the final hooter went.
I will be there for the rest of the games left, no doubt, hopefully the lads will show some pride in the shirt , the outlook is bleak at the moment, but the lads must show some pride to the fans.

| Quote: Harold Rigby Jnr "Well I was also there today but what an utterely abject performance that was.
We had our first choice SL and NRL 6 and 7 who could not break down a patched up team with 1 sub. Thackeray was allowed to run the show.
A lot has been said and blamed for the predicament we are in, Beaumont, Cunningham, Jukes, Bad Luck etc etc but put a decent half back partnership in to this year's squad and we would have one foot back in SL now. No question about that for me.
If you run with the competitions 7th or 8th best half backs, who can no longer rely on and act of individual brilliance from Peter M'atautia or Craig Hall to dig them out , you end up 7th or 8th. That said, I will be taking up My usual position on Sunday, and will be at Rochdale and Dewsbury all being well.
It is what is.'"
Sammut was mentioned months ago. But the collective stuck with someone who had pedigree. Never to be seen.

| Is this "let's get behind the lad's" attitude admirable or just plain foolhardy?
How much of it that is carried out to still keep attending by us is because we feel it is "our duty" it is our town, and they represent us, is it just a force of habit that has subconsciously become an involantary practise through repeatedly excersizing it to keep going.?
What other commodity would we so readily consitantly invest our hard earned in knowing that the product on offer recruitment just plain shoddy, second rate and of poor quality.
The big question us as individuals need to ask ourselves is, are these players and coaching staff really that bad and the displays they serve up are to the best of their abillity, or are they taking us for a ride? We supporters wear the club colours with pride and passion do these players do the same?
Well I have made my mind up, I think they are taking the pi55, I would follow them to hell and back if I thought they were giving everything for the cause but the evidence in front of me says otherwise.
Next year will be N° 60 I have followed this club through much more "thin than thick" we have had some really bad teams in terms of ability in that time, but they tried, went to work trained a couple of evenings and gave their all at the weekend, I feel we have not even had 50% of that commitment from this team of players (one or two exceptions) we have employed this season.
As a fan who always pays for a ST I feel totally let down, in Mr Beaumonts case as a fan who has invested so much more he must feel my hurt times 10.
At this moment in time I may excersize the old adage, "they didn't come to see me when I was bad"

| For me, yesterday's game was played out between one team of 14, who played with passion, and little else, and one team of 17, who went through the motions, and backed down when the opposition stood up to them. That was the difference between yesterday, and our previous three games, when we have looked good, in attack and defence, against teams who allowed us to dominate them.
Remember, this is a hastily assembled 'squad', and we are probably expecting too much of them. Yesterday was a bad day - a poor game between a poor team and a very poor one, 'controlled' by a sub-standard referee.
Anyway, the three of us will be there next Sunday - gluttons for punishment!

| You can only pay for a product that is faulty or not working for so long.
If the players cant be bothered, why should the fans.

Fev wanted the game much more, what's the answer?Even I don't know, only 1 sub for Fev,I'm shocked.'"
At least you didn't ship 62 points in Ian!

True Pete, but Fev only had 1 sub, we never looked like scoring.

That's poor from both clubs point of view. It doesn't bode well when a top championship team can only field 14 players. Then again you reap what you sow and DR has come back to haunt Fev this season. See you next season. The Grove, shudds. Hawkshead Windermere Pale, 3.5% Mmm!

Showing your true colours here. The going gets tough, roy gets going.
I don’t expect you to be the only one Roy, if you’re in existence next year crowds at the Leigh Sports Village will be significantly down.
