| Quote: ItchyandScratchy "We lost focus when Barrow started using their stalling tactics. We have little option but to rise above this and focus on our own gameplan. However, when you fail to hold the ball and complete your sets this is difficult. The score flattered us today, and there is little doubt that London and Fev will make us pay when we play them if we repeat those mistakes in the weeks to come.
Credit to the boys for putting in their efforts today but please stop switching off and making life hard.'"
And yet still won by 28pts , not bad i say after all the shenanigans.

| Quote: reffy "The ref was awful today but having said that we didn’t see a performance that suggests we will make the top four.
Hutchinson was immense but there were a few negatives, Hanson missed a few opportunities to give potential scoring passes, Reynolds was all over the place, Mata’utia was very hesitant returning the ball and once again the intensity dropped when Hood was subbed off. He was giving quick ball but Higham was mainly scooting into a tackle.
Disappointing.'"
My heart is always in my mouth when Hansen is running onto a crash ball. Today looked like he would be better moved back to 13, given we have Lovett, Larroyer and Gregson able to come into the second row. Looked odd to see Hansen wide and Larroyer, who found himself playing centre last week, playing down the middle.

| Having suffered watching James Child's handling the Cats game against Hull on Saturday night, I was looking forward to watching our game with Barrow and hoping for a better Refereeing performance, Oh dear Marcus Griffiths! he was our 'Referee' yesterday! How many people thought he had a remarkable resemblance to Childs? have the RFL got a mould now? Having watched Childs and Griffiths, I can now sympathise with Tinnitus sufferers I think i'm hearing whistle's in my sleep!! The players are reviewed by a Panel and are subsequently punished thereafter! what will Griffiths receive ?
I don't know who the Barrow player without a number on his shirt was but, not once was he onside the entire match! he stood in the Right Centre position and closed off any chance we might have had of attacking that side!
Ive never seen such a blatant and prolonged offside go unpunished as long during a match before

I thought it WAS Childs to start with.
Yesterday's ref din't seem to mind players lying behind the ptb at all. Now that really does slow down play! Players (from both teams) were offside at the ptb, although technically they were behind the ref, who kept moving forwards with them, before the ball was played!
We have to find a way around the spoiling tactics, although it would help a lot if the ref clamps down on those tactics that are illegal.

Hang on you're complaining about tinnitus yet you wanted the ref to blow up even more?

| When you think about it the fixtures from now till 8 July are perfect preparation for end of season playoffs with 2 nice easy home games to finish off with. Let’s face it if we lose more than 2 of these of these games, how would have we been able to compete in the playoffs?

Competing in the play offs and promotion are the least of our worries. We need to finish in the top 4 to avoid financial meltdown. This next 8 weeks is effectively our play off series because of the headstart that we have given the top 5 or 6 now.

No I wanted him to acknowledge the player offside and deal with him not, keep blowing him offside!
The Ref seemed to be completely oblivious to his positioning!
Your always welcome to attend our games as fans of other clubs are, surely you must have seen the player in questions antics?

| 7 is the magic number from a losses perspective. In the last two seasons, 30 points (8 losses) was enough in 2016 for 4th place, but 31 points was needed last year. In both years, there were only 5 clubs competing for the top 4, whereas we have 6 in the mix at the moment. Get 32 points, and it would have to be a very odd looking table (3 clubs on 32 points in 3rd to 5th for instance) for that not to be enough. If there are still 6 teams in the mix come the end of the season, then 30 points should be enough, but maybe on points difference. Remember that there are only 2 points available in each game, and when the top clubs are playing each other then one of them is going to come away empty-handed (or a point each).
To get second spot, you probably would have to win every game through to the end of the season from now.

| I'm confident we'll win all five of the next league fixtures and are in with a good shot versus Salford. I really believe we have a better team now than 12 months ago and if facing an equivalent run of matches this time last year against the same opposition would have considered it the easiest part of the season. All things are relative!
