Apart from facing a top SL team in the CC, I agree there Jonny. ![Thumbs up icon_thumb.gif](images/smilies//icon_thumb.gif)

Gene, I agree it won't be easy for Wigan this season, wouldn't surprise me to see them with us in the middle 8s ,depends how they go with injuries, though I do think Sam Tomkins will have a good season this year. The Hull game in Aus won't help them either.

Sounds like a fairly even game today so really does bode well

They were.
It was a good blow out for both teams, we matched them in most areas, but their kicking game especially short was far superior to ours, and we took several dummies including Tomkins calling for a twenty tap.
Not quite worked out who’s who yet in this new team but Thompson, Hutchinson, and Hall were the standouts for me, the big lad Vaivai looked ok to but only did a short spell and seemed limping quite bad at the end, the French lad Dezaria looks like he’ll make some yards when the grounds harden and looks to off load, all in all a promising start, complacency could be our biggest threat this season.

| Noticed a few of the Toronto lads in their club tracksuits at the game. I wonder what they thought?

| Don't think we will need to worry about toronoto.. pack stood up well to a big physical Wigan pack yesterday.. with Thompson and baptiste to come into that as well it looks good.. must. Admit I was impressed with Richards yesterday did big minutes and made good yards

| Very good performance from Leigh today. Don't forget Leigh had never played together as a team before and, they were playing the World Champions! Sam Tompkins showed what Ive always believed that he is a Halfback, I have doubt whatsoever that Wigan would not have won today without him! If Wane plays Tompkin Halfback this season Wigan will be right up there at the top!
Well done Leigh ![Thumbs up icon_thumb.gif](images/smilies//icon_thumb.gif)

| Personally found it difficult to draw any conclusions, good or bad, after the game to be fair. Was a typical pre-season friendly in bad conditions. Lots of interchanges and at times very scrappy.
Big questions for me will be how many minutes can we get out of Vaivai and Patrick when it comes to the big games, and do we have the coaching staff to develop the likes of Dezaria, Bergal, Owens etc... to get the best out of them.

| Thought it was a good hit out by both teams but the kicking game by Wigan was far superior thans leighs and we defiantly need to improve on that if we want get out of the middle 8s

| Plenty of posiitives in our performance yesterday.
Jordan Thompson was my MOM, with an impressive performance throughout.
Derzia looked good also, ran powerfully, eager for work and caused Wigan problems, especially with off loads.
If Powell is Wigan's first choice 7 then Shaun Wane would have concluded as I did, he is not a patch on Drew Hutchison. Who looks every bit the very talented half back.
Matautia also looks classy in the centres.
Negatives?
1) Sadly Acton does not look like he wants to play Rugby League this season. If Jukes picks him against Toronto then he is only proving he has roughly the same number of rocks in his head as Acton as in his. it will inevitably ensure we have just 12 men for that match.
2) I was frozent dearth though out.

| Why wouldn't a coach pick his best forward in the biggest game of the season. Acton will be fine.

| SO frustrating regarding Acton.. showed both ends of the scale yesterday 2 massive hits on clubb and navaratte which cause turn overs and some really strong carries.. however their is a fine line with niggle and he needs to sort that. He would however be one of the first names on my team sheet
