Do you honestly feel that at least one person who has premier sports - who lives in Leigh or nearby- will not watch the game on tv rather than attending ??
That is money that Leigh will be losing out on - and in all honesty why should they??

I think the point DB is making,is the LSV are unaware of the match being televised.Hence the broadcaster should be contributing to the home club financially.

Col, I have Premier Sports , but will be at the LSV on Feb 4th to watch the game, I will also be in Blackpool for the Summer Bash game ,whether it is televised or not.

I’m sure a few will stay home or watch in the pub but for this game I believe not many. But some who do not normally go may see the game, be impressed and entertained, and maybe go to a game because of it. Also some who have lapsed, be it because we are not in SL or for some other reason, may tune in and decide to renew their attendance once they see what we have to offer.
Exposure is key for growth, be it in Toronto or Leigh.
I’m not criticizing DB, he has my full support, always has. I’m just putting forward an alternate way of looking at it.

Well DB gave a free for all in the 2016 middle 8s against Batley, to give the opportunity to folk, who could become a potential fan,and it's testament to the club with the current aspirations and the signings we've made. It's a shame that a lot of those who got their freebie, can't/won't support the club now.

Derek has banned no one, nobody had asked if they could broadcast his club live from their home ground - either completely amateur by TW or Premier or complete arrogance by them.

Where have I said that Derek has banned anyone ?
All I have said is that I don’t necessarily see it as a negative thing that the game may be televised.
I also agree that if Premier or TW have not approached the club then that is bad form.

If DB carries out his threat-Premier Sports could retaliate by not showing the away match in Toronto-how many loyal Leigh fans will he upset then?

Derek has not threatened to ban anyone he's just said they have not asked Leigh if they can film the game and surely they should ask Leigh permission with it being Leigh home game and it could effect the match day crowd,for example on the day of the game it's pouring down and it's on premier sports would some fans from other clubs(e.g. super league fans from other clubs that play fri and want to watch the game)Not go because it's on the telly but would have gone

Just a technicality here - would it not be up to LSV to decide whether a tv company can film in their stadium?
