For me I really do think we can beat Wigan on Thursday,I've been with the Wigan Carolis this afternoon and they think the same.However Shaun Wane is a very good,he won't be blaming their long injury list ,the Refs performance, or so many games in so few days,that's not his style,Wigan will come at us at 100 mph and try to blow us away early,hopefully we can keep up with them and compete for the full 80 minites.
Widnes are now improving so bottom spot will be ours,we must now focus on the middle 8s I really do think we will survive,but next season we need a bit of a clear out , I think giving 2 year contracts to a few players has been a bit of a mistake.Onwards and upwards though.

Now then Charlie lad, I really like you as a member of this fine board but, "not his style" ! You've got to be joking right ?

Never have I seen a Coach Whine as much about injuries as Shaun Whine (maybe McDermott) he never stops whining about "half the salary cap in the stands" waffle, waffle etc. This from the Coach of a Club that still has several Internationals on the pitch.

Compare & contrast to NJ who I think I have heard/seen only once mention injuries & suspensions. Wigan with a squad of seemingly 40 & Leigh with a squad of 27/28.

In other news, I agree, think we can do them Thursday night, but allow them to chuck it about & run along the line unchallenged like they did against Hull F.C & they will rip us apart, play smart & we will have a famous victory against the Old Foe !!!

I'd share your optimism if the perenniel blame the ref syndrome hadn't made its way into the club. Hopefully, that's just an example of saying one thing in public while dealing with things like not being able to dominate a tackle or keep composure in when in a close game.

We have had all season to improve the discipline but it hasn't happened.

1.The coaching staff are ignoring it?
2.The coaching staff are encouraging it?
3.The coaching staff are working hard to put it right ,but the players are stupid, and don't care if they concede a penalty?
4.Or in many cases, the ref is overzealous in giving penalties for the least minor infringements? And what i mean is, there could be a 100 penalties in a game if every minor incident was penalized.

The commitment and passion of the players when they're down to twelve men has been second to none.If they can keep that same mindset they have in those 10 minute spells and place it into the full 80,they are more than a match for most.

They step up when going gets tough,I cant fault them for that.Just need the same step up when thirteen are on the field.

Making an assumption Leyth. 2 yellow cards and god knows whatever else the panel will decide to charge when they have viewed the game

Doesn't seem fair to ban players two days before a game - how can the coaching staff prepare the side?

It also seems a bit much to add a ban to a sin bin unless a really deliberate foul has been seen. If the ref issues a yellow rather than a red card then should be sufficient.

Number 3 is the nearest, number five would be fines for AVOIDABLE penalties.
