I thought we would finish 9/10th so finishing 12th isn't much different , we were always going to be in the scramble at the end of the season. There were a few good bits amongst the dross but AJ was totally stupid.

I have been in the "we'll be alright camp' pretty solidly until now.

It isn't todays game that has given me doubt, but a succession of less than acceptable perforfamces.
Thought we were relatively 'still in the game' until the sending off but didn't feel Leigh would win even with 13 on the park TBH.

Same things are bothering me ....

Defensive line is weak & easy to break down.
Discipline, especially around the PTB is still sub standard.
Handling errors seem more frequent than other teams.
Lack of creativity in attack.

& the obvious one, lack of confidence.

I worry that we will have 4 away games & that 3 of those will be Catalans, Toulouse & Hull KR.


I would go back to supporting Leigh in Championship, but I don't want to if it can be avoided.

*If Leigh are relegated then I fear the RFL will close the shop & we will never play top tier rugby league again*

More like a new ref needed , one that applies the rules of the game evenly , perhaps even touch judges that can actually raise a flag when the ball goes between the sticks rather than to the side

We carry on with who we have

if we had played Catalans or Huddersfield today we would have won. The ball steal in the first half which led to a try for them and the conversion that didn't go over.Things like that hurt. No complaints about the sending off.

At the moment, it doesn't matter who we play, we make too many mistakes to be able to win games. Bad call from the ref leading to their first try, but lets face it, what was more likely if he'd given the penalty? A solid set, or a mistake? The penalty conceded while in possession at 12-6 up was criminal, and it's the second game running we've lost any chance of winning by losing a player.

We'll improve if we can get Weston, Acton and Maria in to replace three out of Burr, Tickle, Stewart and Vea, but sadly not many teams have the luxury of their best 17 that often and our back up isn't looking good enough.

I 'm worried the coaching staff are losing their way ! We have got to address the Centre position unfortunately, Salford identified our hand side where loanee young Matty Fleming was making his debut and they scored a lot of points down that side. I'm loath to criticise a young player who has come to help us however, I don't think he possess the physical presence or experience we so badly need! Willie Tonga cant be far off a return? lets hope he can return and go through the season without further injury as he will cure the centre void we currently have!
If Dayne Weston was not injured then we made a huge mistake by playing Vea and Burr before him! I liked the way Brown returned the ball and scored his try however, it seems a waste not playing Gregg McNally with the talent he possess! Personally I think Neil Jukes has been a very lucky man who just happened to be in the right place at the right time to end up as head coach at Leigh. He'd never proved himself in any capacity when he became Paul's assistant and given how long he'd worked with the team he was the natural choice for the position of head coach when Paul left.

However, do I think he should be sacked? No I don't, I think this is now the time when he can show everyone how good he actually is. Anyone can coach a winning team but to turn around a team who is on it's knees is when it really matters will show everyone what he's made of. Can he do it? I'm not sure he can but I still think he should be given the chance to try.

I have stated in the past I have faith in Jukesy, now it's beginning to wane, we have a Coaching team of 3 who between then have a fair bit of experience yet we look lost at times , give to many penalties away ,and blame the Ref , Touch judges ,and anyone else at every opportunity, the ball was stripped from Burr , no doubt,as for the goal it looked like it missed however ,no use moaning,we are the worst disciplined side in SL the stats don't lie.
Our next 4 games are Hull away, Cas at home, Leeds away, Wigan at home very daunting ,as each game passes the pressure increases on Jukesy, do we wait or persevere till the end of the League games or the end of the middle 8s?I'm not sure, Saints had an instant response,and now Catalans have shown their Coach the door,the question at Widnes is will Betts last?Whoever comes in won't get us out of the bottom 4 so it's the middle 8s for us,personally I think Jukesy can lead us to safety there and keep us in SL, but what happens next year if he does?
To progress we may need a Coach with a proven track record,where from?I don't know.

He's lost the plot. Uses injuries as an excuse and chops and changes too much even when players aren't injured. Neil is not a Super League Manager and the fans on here who think he is are delusional.

Great isn't it , all these RL geniuses that inhabit these pages , " we need this player dropping , we need that player dropping , why play him there , he shouldn't play here " and yet non can provide 1 single player , or coach who is available to come in to replace what we have , they all seem to know which players are injured or not ,
