| I've just watched the game this morning after going last night,I thought Pellisier was deserved MoM ,but we needed a second hooker , come back soon Mickey Higham,Maria and Hopkins both had very good games ,I'm usually critical of Jamie Acton but I thought he did well, very harshly yellow carded , but shouldn't touch players off the ball.
Leigh otherwise did very well, Mitch Brown has to stay at full back all season whatever happens his ball returns were very good looked solid on the high balls, Drinky and Reynolds both played well I just wish Reynolds would go forward a bit more needs a bit of self belief all in all I'm happy ,I still think Vea is just not there, Im not sure what happened with Stewart and Green but they would both be in my 17 players.Charlie knows. .

| A game Leigh could have won, some of the players are struggling with the extra fitness/physically of SL. Pellisier was good

| "!HUGE clear out needed!!!!"...because?
Kaizen = constant improvement and growth - based on week 1 = Check. So many injured players by week 2 has to be a concern and evidently (affected) the result - maybe pre-season needs to be accessed (potential cause). Ultimately, 2 missed goals cost Leigh the game yesterday, period. If Higham, Hock, Ridyard, Stewart and Weston are fit, I'll be very surprised if Leigh lose to Saints.
Enjoy your week debating the coulda, woulda, shoulda.

Bold statement that, although have to say if we can improve our game management we have a sniff.
A Higham/pellissier combination at hooker looks tasty I have to say

| Not sure some one on here can count , far more than 900 from Leeds . I thought you were expecting well over 8,000 . If thats all you get for your first home Super League game on a warm evening then God help you against Wakey , Catalan , Salford and Midgets . Fireworks ? . Pretty sure you will come through middle eights ok , but on last nights showing we may have to also as we were garbage . A big chance of two points blown by you last night with all the ball we gifted you . On the plus side for you facilities are great in and around the ground .

Well the south stand holds over 2k I believe and it didn't look half full to me.
But you are correct - I expected a better turn out from our own fans. One thing that puzzled me was that the north and west stand were pretty much sold out in advance so did we not have anybody at the ticket office pre-game, only seemed like 100 or so in the East

I feel your pain but I don't think a clear of the team or this forum is required. Jamie is daft and the ref was conned for me by a dive, but that is just from my memory. I haven't seen the replays yet. We set of at 100 mph last night then relaxed in defence. Can't be done at this level. We are learning all the time and now injuries are mounting. This could be the making of players like Ben Reynolds and Jamie and Sam. They now need to stamp their rights to be on that team. For me Ben Reynolds was great last night and got though loads of tackling. Because he was being targeted. Mitch looks to be our full back from now on and the centres and wings are in good shape. Get Mickey back or go to the market for another hooker. Or maybe give Ryan more time and I don't think we will be for from reet. We had the game at our feet and got a bit lazy then giddy but it'll come together.
WE ARE NOT GOING BACK TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

I had thought from Club Tweets that we were headed for C,8,000.
Not sure why the East Stand was opened when the West was not completely full, though the North was definitely Sold Out.
Less Leeds fans travelled than I expected & had they matched our away support at Cas then we might have been looking at 7,700. Still, for a Friday night Sky televised match, not terrible.
How Leigh keep up the intensity of promotion of games is vital, as is the will of the Town to get behind it's only professional sports club.

| Now on to the Squad ....
Ben Reynolds was a stand out performer for me last night, got around the park & swiftly too, he is showing very good potential, as he did pre season.
Mr Tickle didn't have his best game but was very good last week v Cas, when he ran his blood to water.
Antoni Maria went better than I expected
Mitch Brown played very well & earned the N°1 spot.
Acton, strong & aggressive again but so, so stupid to get 10 mins bin time.
A-J, strong & getting better all the time, just lacks lightening pace of a true out & out wing.
Tonga, ok but this is his last season of RL I reckon.
Pellisier, impressed, could turn out to be an inspired signing.
Vea, a big hairy [iDonkey[/i & not fit to pull on a Leigh shirt, send him to Sheffield or [iCoventry[/i where he will find his level. Saints fans warned us & they were right.
Injured/not selected.
Higham, we need him back.
Weston, the same, one if our finest forwards.
Hood, good interchange hooker.
Stewart, didn't have a good Cas game but class is permanent.
Riddy, rabbit in the headlights v Cas but again should come good, not fit.
Hock, solid & dependable but a hot head like Jamie, hope he has a quick recovery as we need him.
Crooks, quick & strong centre, need him back pronto.
Greg Mc, out long term, was very good in Championship but not sure he will ever be the same again, poor lad has had some terrible injury troubles.
I am thinking that Vea & Tonga go out on a Season long loan to free up SC space to improve Centre forward positions.

| There's no way the south stand was half full and for a team that's gets 15000 plus most games thought it was a poor following, but I do think making Leeds wigan Saints ect pay more than wakefield Salford ect is wrong and could have had an effect on some fans coming

Jury out on Vea I must admit, Tonga looks class, starts every week for me if fit - will also get better with game time
Higson is no slouch, be interesting to see him with an open line 70 yards out - not sure many would catch him

| Very good (not great) against Leeds. Team still needs to gel and will improve. Have to stick up for Acton - opponents hate to play against this guy- he's hard and direct and in your face all the time. (He's better than the ageing Hock) Also Hopkins still improving and Maria is hard to handle. All will play better with Micky Higham. First win will be March 10

| We also have the lad James Clare from Bulls out with a season long (hopefully not) injury, he has pace to burn & a big miss IMHO.
Such a tough opening fixture list & hammered with 1st choice player injuries too.
Having it tough ATM.

| It was a reasonable turnout for a televised night game.
