Things have a habit of wandering off topic, we are currently experiencing the problem of multi IDs.

| Just to let everybody know , the LISA coach options will be
Sunday all three matches
Leigh match only ( this will require essentially enough people to 3/4 fill a coach , ie 40-50 bookings )
Return tickets only for those travelling early for the whole weekend , obviously the price will be the same as a full day one ( if enough people to fill a coach wanted a Sat morning depart and a Sunday post match return then that could be looked at , but with obvious cost )

| Short stroll across any of the various bridges to Gateshead - much cheaper. Contrary to popular opinion, Newcastle is a nice city (architecture wise at least). Always found the beer very disappointing though. Mind you it is now about 15 years since Bongser went. May be pleasantly surprised. Anyone know if the Jazz Club on Pink Street, opposite the station is still going?

Nice city, Newcastle. And St James Park is very central, for hotels, bars etc. And yes, Jazz Cafe is still there, on Pink Lane - opposite Central Station.

BaB, the place to go is Bigg Market ,though it can get a bit wild.

| Thanks Diggory. Yep, Bongser used to drink in The Old George just off the BMkt. As he worked there for a week at a time, three times a year, it used to be pleasant to walk into a pub in a 'foreign' city and see that the manageress is already pulling your usual, and, what's more, remembers your name. Then again, he used to hand a good few bob over the bar. Later it would be The World Renowned Lord of Harpole's gaffe for a curry. Very slim chance of getting in there on Magic Weekend, so that's why I asked about The Jazz Club. BITD it was two quid in but even that was recouped in a freebie burger and chips. Downside, only bottles & cans behind the bar and not a lot of choice therein - Newky Dog, Stones or dirty lager. Some decent live jazz at the weekends though.
